indeed. This is an oustanding job, man. I have no words to decsribe how thankfull I am. So, I'll just say thank you.
It always bugged me why Devs put in regons into game, but didn't provide any on the planetary maps. And what about river, lake, and sea names?
/sigh
We could probably ask TH to explain, but he's probably has a lot on his plate as it is.

This is one of the best things I've seen in a long time... I wish I had the hardware to see all of these things correctly

Whoa, gals and guys, I'm quite overwhelmed about the reactions. Didn'trealize how badly these maps were needed (how could I? I was busy compiling them :smileyvery-happy
.
@Thunderheart: thanx for the kudos and for the nice try in motivation (hehehe, thanks Spacey :smileywink
@Knapf: Spacey is right, of course the backgrounds are screenshots whichI reworked for better visibility in color and better print results in b/w.
@Spacey: You're the man! Again thanx. And since you seem to be quite at home on Dathomir, do you happen to know a region called "Rhoa Arod"?
Since there are still blank spots where names should stand all outdoor folks are encouraged touse this as a motivation.
I'm currently hunting aftera tip for something missing on Rori...
Again thanx all for the thumbs ups.... i'm still blushing...

Thanks, I already got it, it's north of Jabba's Palace, even got a soundtrack of its own. I very much appreciate your input. Keep 'em coming..
The map will be updated shortly (along with Vass Meindras on Dathomir).

Hi all,
I have just put planetary maps with region names online.
They can be found at: www.garnisch.com/vora/indexE.htm
Some might have noticed that the planets seem to have named zones or regions.
Whenever you use the command /who in your chat window often the location of nearby players have region names next to the planet name. Those region names are nowhere to be found on any maps (at least I didn't find any). So my char traveled around the planets (since Beta3) to compile these maps.
They might be useful to roleplayers and outdoor professions like scout, ranger, ch or bh.
These maps are optimized for b/w printing.
I Don't know if this has been already done before, but what the heck...
P.S: a big THANK YOU to the world creation team of LA. You guys did a terrific job keeping me busy for a year. Your landscapes are still helluva amazing after this long time....
Excellent work!
One you might add is "Vass Meindras" on Dathomir...
Some of these names remind me of something....
Vass...
Taurin....
Keldarin....

I wonder where they got the names from?

Great maps, thanks.
I wish the Devs would add an overlay option on the Planetary Maps that would display planet regions. It could be like overlaying waypoints or player cities.

Awesome, I'd always hoped someone would do something like this. Wonderful work!
