To be perfectly honest I find this completely acceptable and salute the person who pulled it off. Imperials that walk around and kill Rebels out in the wilds get the respect that they deserve as a PvP'er more than they do than those that camp the Rebel Recruiters.

Hi,

wow - in fact the Rebels do the same game like the original poster near Imperial bases. Since I am an overt player (since neutral is not funny, covert useless since you get TEFs the whole time doing FP missions and as an overt you have pets... hehe). I had some incredible funny fight yesterday with a rebel and therefore I now exactly (hehe) know how I would feel if some rebels would camp around an Imperial base taking out n00bs like me

The first fight was funny (for me) since he incapped me but my pets got him away from me so he didn't DB me. My three faction pets (one always runs 128 meters away in a fight no matter what happens) did not kill him but he was able to get one down and we talked a bit about it. Some time later, the fight was a 2 second ganking fest when he and his rebel friends came again and took me down faster than I could even hit any key - but well, thats the way I think. (In the first fight, I had troups with me, in the 2nd he, so it was equal for the day). This time I was DBd and so I headed back to Theed (just to hit another Rebel which wanted to kill me, but thats another story).

At least I now know the feeling in you if you are taken down by a superior force. I had a better feeling after the first fight of course, but this is understandable

I am still overt btw, for the same reasons that were mentioned in the beginning of this post. I like my faction pets since they are very helpful getting rid of NPCs and the pets I only get as an overt player. I don't like PvP too much (not only in this game) because I loose the whole time, but thats not the point. There is no other choice if you want to have faction pets and you cannot have both. However, if you are overt, you will be ganked. Again and again ... (Try duels if you want to have fair fights? )

I play as a covert player because I don't like PvP. I do realize however that playing as a covert will sometimes open me up to attack by players. I accepted that when I became covert. I do not like PvP, but I accept the risk of it happening to me, With war there are risks. I think camping in an NPC camp and taking out the people raiding the camp is perfectly acceptable. It is a good use of strategy and the people paid the price for not reconning the area before they attacked. I attacked a camp and a member of the opposing faction saw me do it lol. They were actually very polite, letting me complete my mission and get my FP and money. They then proceeded to kick my butt and DB me lol. They remembered that it is just a game and both of us deserved to enjoy it. Of course had they just attacked and killed me I would have earned that too.
