If you are low in Jabba faction point, normally you are high in Valerian's.
I suggest to do the Valerian quests first. They have high pay-out and you also get some nice stuff (for early in the game) such as Republican Blaster...
After you have got the Dagger, start doing someValerian missions to kill Valerians.
I found killing Valerian is very effective in term of getting Jabba faction.
Or, if you are lucky, Valerian npcs sometime spawn inside Mos Eisley.
Remeber, if you have to stop killing Jabba's npcs, if they aggro you, run...
This is how I did when I got -5000 Jabba faction and 5000 Valerian faction.
That time I was a novice Bounty Hunter.
So I found all the quests are quite easy.

It's a JtL tip. There's a pilot inside Jabba's Palace and some people have been complaining about that fact.
They acually tie JtL to the ground game and people complain, go figure.

It's not that hard for a player to analyze every faction in the game and put together a detailed list of their relationships.

Did you irritate Jabba?
Are you trying to get into Jabba's palace, but you have a history with helping Lady Valerian?
o Valerian Assassin
o Valerian Compound Guard
o Valerian Enforcer
o Valerian Henchman
o Valerian Scout
o Valerian Swooper
o Valerian Swooper Leader
o Valerian Thief
o Valerian Thug
Unfortunately, Lady Valerian doesn't exist in the Star Wars universe. Moreover, the NPCs you've mentioned do not exist in SWG. This might be due to the fact that the Lady is actually called Lady Valarian.
To back it up, a quote from www.starwars.com: "The group disbanded, and Max and Sy Snootles worked for crime lord Lady Valarian for a while."

Not sure if this was already mentioned but you can go to Naboo and kill Borvo's folks like Borvo's mercenaries and thugs. They appear randomly in the wild all over Naboo. This also preserves your Valarian faction and I believe also improves your Gungan faction.

to get xp for ranged proffesions, take faction missions, they usually stay at range. after you pick up at least novice in the elite proffesion. try hunting pirates on LOK. just make sure you have a doc or at least a master medic with ya, some of them do hit pretty hard.
getting xp this way lets you really learn the in's and outs of a ranged proffesion, as opposed to getting quencker missions, and spamming pointblankarea1 on the lair.

Jabba Escort Service
Sandstorm Yakta hopas uba Jabba’s chiga patisa to enki!
(Sandstorm City helps you to be Jabba’s true friend!)
Do you want to experience the adventure of working for his Excellency, Jabba the Hutt, but may not be quite up to handling all of the missions by yourself? Do you have non-combat professions but would like to work for Jabba?
Then Sandstorm City's Jabba Escort Service, Tatooine, Starsider Galaxy is just what you have been looking for!
Jabba has become extremely concerned with the recent disturbance in the force. So he decided to increase the number of people that belong to his inner circle of trust in an attempt to protect his position as “self-proclaimed“ ruler of Tatooine. He “encouraged” the citizens of Sandstorm City to oversee the project that will ensure only the most trustworthy people are brought to his palace.
Sandstorm has therefore established an escort system that will allow its citizens the opportunity to match up with perspective candidates and oversee their progress towards earning Jabba’s trust. There is a holonet system to guarantee that everyone seeking guidance will be contacted by at least one member of the Sandstorm community.
Follow the link below to begin your journey towards becoming Jabba’s chiga patisa (Jabba's true friend)!
http://www.sandstormcity.com/forum/forum_topics.asp?FID=17
Sandstorm City is located at Waypoint: -4551, 0, -5774 on Tatooine in the Starsider Galaxy
((Out Of Character: It has become clear that players must complete various content badges (theme parks) in order to progress down the newly released Jedi Quest System. This means more and more players will be flooding to Jabba’s Palace to complete Jabba’s Themepark to earn Jabba's Badge of Trust. It is well known that there is a fair amount of combat necessary to complete many of the tasks that are required for this badge. In order to facilitate weak combatants and non-combatants down their path towards becoming force sensitive the members of Sandstorm community decided to offer an escort system through Sandstorm City, Jabba’s most trusted community. Our location near Jabba's Palace on Tatooine, Starsider Galaxy is ideal for providing this service.
Sandstorm has a dedicated forum on the Sandstorm holonet where players interested in doing Jabba’s themepark would start a thread with their interest in completing the themepark and list certain required information (date, time, combat abilities, amount willing to pay for help, etc.). Any member of the Sandstorm community could then respond to the thread in order to establish the initial (out of game) contact. Then the interested parties can decide how to meet in game to complete the themepark.))

What about raising HUTT faction? I have +5000 in Jabba and -5000 in Hutt. Do you see a problem here.
I know Jabba kind of runs his own thing here, but were'nt you guys going to make Hutt a joinable faction like the way Imp and Reb is? Just Curious...

If you're going to whine like a little bi*ch every time you run into a roadblock, then I suggest you better quit now, because it doesn't get easier as you progress up the pilot tiers. As far as neutral players being more casual players, I don't think that's true at all. Many neutral players are hard core gamers as much as the next guy, and like the idea that the ground game has some connection with JTL. Many of us would like to see more inter-connection with the ground game.People have to remember that JTL is not a separate game.. it's an expansion pack of SWG; so we can all expect greater integration between both systems going forward. I for one, look forward to that..
so lets see, if somebody decides that swg is finally becoming interesting to him thanks to jtl and he just wasted money on swg, jtl and maybe the second month he should stop "whining" about some seriously confused designers writing books about fun in computer games yet making one of the most tedious and repetitive games of all times prefer to say "well, maybe YOU want to play a pilot, but WE dont give a §$% what YOU want and tell you that you better start grinding that combat profession"? and your best argument is that ground combat is part of the game? so how about we block a combat professions advance by forcing him to grind a business profession before he can go on? the point of an rpg is that you can play what you want and how you want, not to be forced into a way of playing that you dont care for and obviously are NOT paying your fee for?
im kind of looking forward to how you wont "whine" when you suddenly need to grind politician to become a weaponsmith for no better reason than "the designers want to integrate different aspects of the game". so lets see, we have some bs flavour text about how jabba doesnt care about the past and wants you to work for him, yet not a single dev thought "hey, maybe talon shouldnt just spew some garbage and we should set the faction rating to 0 if necessary". then, even though jabba is the one insisting that we work for him we first have to jump the hoops for his bootlickers before getting inside? thats not "integration" thats a huge pile of utterly crappy game design that will make me stay away from any books about that topic written by those responsible for things like that. maybe explains why its titled "a theory". if you cant get it right in practice you always spend a lot of time at least theorizing about it.
believe it or not but there actually people playing swg because its NOT forcing you into a combat profession. or at least didnt.
