TH: I know this is off-topic, but I miss the general "in concept" thread.
EQ2 gets this handy tool, Station Players. Will SWG get it too?
Thanks for your consideration.

Also, Hutt faction will not give you Jabba faction. Just to let everyone know who didn't know that. I have -5000 Jabba faction and 3000 Hutt faction
How do you gain Hutt faction? I've been bottomed out at -5000 for as long as I can remember. (Well, at least since NPCs started dropping loot kit items.)
Same for Naboo faction as well... Is there any way to improve it?
Thanks!

My tip is a follow on from last weeks - if you have a friend in Everquest II, you can add them to your friend's list:
/addfriend eq2.servername.playername
You can now see when they are online and send them tells!
We are currently trying to work out a way of getting a chatgroup up and running between the games (you can do it between EQ and EQ2) - if anyone knows how, please let me know !
/addfriend eq2.servername.playername

TIP
I love macros. So I thought I'd share a few with you that I use on a regular basis.
MACRO NAME: NOTEPAD
/note;
MACRO NAME: WAYPOINT-MARK
/waypoint;
MACRO NAME : BOARD-SHUTTLE
/board trans;
MACRO NAME: LOOT-ALL
/loot all;
Once you have the above 4 macros programmed, then go to OPTIONS--> CONTROLS--> KEYMAP. Click on the tab that says "CUSTOM" and then look through the list for the above 4 macros. Assign the following keys to your macros:
LOOT-ALL: CTRL-Z
BOARD-SHUTTLE: CTRL-X
NOTEPAD: CTRL-N
WAYPOINT-MARK: CTRL-W
Now you've got very easy access to the above 4 actions with a simple CTRL-<letter>.

Do you actually get your EQ2 friends to show up in your /friend listing? I've done this, and they don't show up when I do /friend - it does give me a message when they log on or off though, which is nice. If you find a way to set up cross-game chatgroups, please send me a PM telling how, because I've been trying to do that and would love to know how (about 95% of my friends have SWG for EQ2 or just a MMO break :smileysad

I sometimes get them showing up on my friends list, sometimes I don't.... but it is useful for seeing when they come online... I know it is a minor thing and not as important as other fixes / additions, but it would be nice to be able to join chatrooms with other SOE games, especially my friends who are playing EQ2 until the Combat Upgrade.

Or how about a harder one.. how to improve your Thug faction so all the mission NPC's don't agro on you when you need to talk to them?
that my friend is fixed by a simple macro:
/conv;
/macro conv;
when they agro you, run away making sure you dont do any damage, then as soon as you are peaced out, turn back towards them and the conv should activate

Thug faction requires the killing of the innocent, Hermits, Nomads, Villagers. You get +Thug/Bandit for those.
A good way of finding the right faction is to kill one member of the faction you want to raise and see whom you gain faction with, write that down and then hunt them....well, maybe not a good way, but surely the quickest.

Did I irritate Jabba? I guess so since his aggressive thugs surround Valarian's compound and agro any of us trying to complete our 2nd tier Smugglers Alliance pilot quest. Between the hours I spend grinding off my negative Jabba faction then the hours spent to run through Jabba's palace just to get to the pilot trainer I spent about two days of play time that no other pilot class that I know of has to do. While I understand the Role play aspects of this I feel it's a run around that is unjustified. Combine that with the fact that Jabba's castle is many kilometers from the nearest starport and I'm starting to wonder if I should just give it all up especially since my very first mission seemed to be bugged and failed even though I compleated all the mission objectives and did not get shot down. If you do nothing else please fix the fact that Valarians compound is crawling with Jabba's thugs. Also realise that your neutral players tend to be your more casual players and not the hardcore buff/composite PvP people who join the Imperial and Alliance factions.
If I had just picked up the game with JTL and started a character off on the Smugglers Alliance pilot quest I would have quit the game by now. I can't imagine a new player being able to get into Jabba's castle especially since the buff/comp goons can't be bothered to help them with Jaba's theme park.

I did something similar. I was annoyed that SWG didn't see all my mouse buttons, but with macros, the keymap and logitech mouse driver I came up with...
1st I made these macros
Loot
/loot all;
/deathblow;
/harvest meat (or whatever you want to harvest)
Transport
/bo trans
Attack
/attack
I tied these 3 macros to #'s 1-3 and then with logitech's driver maped the mouse keys that SWG didnt see to these keystrokes, one for tab and one for alt. This way I can cycle targets out, attack, loot/db/harvest, board a shuttle, unlock mouseall from my mouse.
