Brilliant, and while we're at it, could you take a look at these quests:

Corellia - Find the Missing Shipment of Starship Components - Confront and defeat Tomi Jinsin.

That one is due to Tomi not respawning properly - the first player to complete the quest after each server bounce will get the reward (3k credits or so). However the respawned Tomi is non-aggressive and doesn't fight back when attacked (nor does anyone else in the bunker). It is rather like the original myyyandril caverns bugs.

Bizarre. I thought I'd put more or less the same thing in underneath the quest title in the post. That'll teach me to alt-tab between SWG and here.

TH,

Since this is a quest based FF, how about a little Dev commentary about the abandon quest feature you guys introduced in Publish 23. How does it work, what quests can be abandoned, when can we expect a fix on the kashyyyk emyya(sp?) not resetting when the space station resets bug, etc etc

So far, it just seems like the Force Sensitive quests get the abandon option. Even if you've completed them.

Either way the Abandon option doesn't work.

We are doing a bunch of work under the hood to improve the quest journal. Right now, there is no clear cut way to know which quests are and are not abandon-able (is that a word?). In time, all quests will be able to be abandoned.

Will this work be announced in 'In Concept'? Having (judging by my deplorable post history of late) ran afoul of the Quest system as it currently stands, I'll be happy to offer suggestions towards making it better.

Firesped was able to give me some info. Kudos to Firesped!

We'll follow up on the info folks.

Brilliant, and while we're at it, could you take a look at these quests:

Corellia - Find the Missing Shipment of Starship Components - Confront and defeat Tomi Jinsin.Rryatt Trail - Kashyyyk Concealment Kit
Still unable to progress, despite having killed the required creatures several months ago, and received credit for such in the Completed section of my Journal.

Yea this one is broke also.. you kill the guy in the bunker and nothing happens, it tells you that you still need to kill him... this is on the bria server by the way..

Thunderheart, 90% of the problem between you guys and the customers is lack of communication.. we tell you guys stuff isn't working and all you guys keep saying is, its working just fine... when its not.. I think some of the problemmight be, its not working onthe server we are on.. and working fine onthe server your testing it on..

How about any new quests with rewards beyond credits that we don't have to buy an expansion for?

Or maybe the male dancer wearable we were told would be coming to Jabba's Palace over 15 months ago?

That's good news. The quest journal badly needs a refresh, with the increasing number of quest in the game it's becoming an increasingly needed tool, but it currently isn't very well adapted, and even has some annoying bugs.

I cant actually belive it,

You have actually made a worse friday feature then last week. Why do you even bother? Is there are particular pleasure that you get out of NOT listening to player requests, and seemingly the only outlet of information you provide us is mindless dribble and complete f**king usless infromation about quests that have been around for a long time.

You want to talk about quests, go steal something from EQ2 &WoW.Hell just do something to earn your god damn paychecks other then collectivly bend the community as a whole over a barrel and give us some no lube lovin' as you have for that last 2 god damn years.

For what it's worth, having pages like this that list quests is a nice feature, and fits on what the friday features should be. It's just a problem that (as far as we know) the quests listed are not working correctly.

Quests are good because they serve to flesh out the universe. While I don't particularly like quests where you are the hero doing some grand mission (because it doesn't make sense that everyone does them), quests in general are a good timekiller and some are fun to boot. I like the Nagem's jobs, for instance, because it shows something that wasn't in the movies: the recovery of the wreckage of theDeath Star, which explains how they built a second one so quickly.

Thanks for replying!

If it doesnt work the way you guys want (the abandon feature specfically, not the quest journal) was there some reason why it was introduced now when it immediately has to be worked on?

If we abandon a quest in our quest journal will we be able to restart again if we so desire? I have one quest that I have not been able to move forward on because NPC I am suppose to attack appears white, not yellow.

I finished the droid quest and didn't get the schematic for the droid head upon completion and customer service said that they couldn't help.
