I agree with a lot of what is being said, and this is coming from a Jedi.

Tbh I didn't want to persue the Jedi road, however, after doing almost everything in the game, including starting and running a city/guild witha friend, there wasn't too much more to do, so, I ground out my fsxp and got an extra slot and I'm grinding jedi and two new profs I hadn't tried before. So getting the Jedi has certainly increased my lifetime in the game.

However, I do feel the same way about too many Jedi and I purposely try to be inconspicuous in towns and cities, I never get my saber out and always try to remember to wear normal clothes as I'm supposed to be in hiding.

It's probably the more juvenile players who feel the need to showoff their jedi that are the pain.

Agreed. Those, and the BHs who love to post on their profiles the names of the Jedi they've killed.

I agree knights forced to be overt doesn't help much.

Allowing Jedi to pick their own factions was a step forward. But the FRS was two steps backward, which is something we often see with new developments, a small benefit at a large cost. One of my friends, who plays a Jedi, hates the FRS--he asked, "we're supposed to be in exile, yetlet usform up a council" and, I might add, be always clearly visible?

But anything uber in a game such as this will always be visable, wether its because people want to show off, or because its taken so long to achieve, or a lot of money to buy, they maybe feel they have a right to use it and play it.

I personally wish Jedi had been left non-PC, but I see the economic reasons why that wasn't done (not that I agree with the decision). There is an excess of those annoying showoff players that you mentioned above. We see them all the time

If only SOE hadn't mentioned anything when the game was launched about achieving Jedi things wouldn't have got to this stage. It scares me to think of all the dev hours put into Jedi at the neglect of other profs, especially smuggler and crafters, that's why I don't moan on the Jedi forum, we;ve had it good up until now, let the devs do their thing with other profs for a change.

No answers to the problem, but just my thoughts.

And good thoughts at that, in my opinion.

Btw, I don't play a Jedi either. I never ground xp for holocrons, and I haven't participated in the new Jedi quests at all. If I ever do, I promise you I won't be showing off...

I have a bad feeling about this nerf
