ill add one.

combat droids are useless to crafters. i had an old cl30 probot, thought i'd xfer it my cl 2 crafter as a guard. HA HA

he wont attack anymore more than 10 cl dif. which means he stands there and watches the cl6 red rats kill me. useless, utterly and completly useless...

and yet, im not surprised.

Hello Thunderheart,

this is one of the best tuesday tip so far. Even if droid could get some lovin, it's nice to remember people how handy they can be.

My tip :

In need of storage? Buy 5 droids with storage modules and you have 50 new safe slots to carry your stuff.

Thanks, I appreciate it, but Drashk is a DE legend and the thanks should go to him for the great tip

Also, if anyone out there has a great tip they would like to seein the opening Tuesday Tip post, email it toSWGTips!

I have multiple accounts and multiple computers. Two of my characters have scout abilites so I will load them up and send them out. I control my combat scout manually and set my crafting scout on a follow and harvest macro with his 112 pt harvest droid. Getting resources is twice as fast and you don't have keep constantly switching back to the other computer.

You need to see what his commands are - select List Commands off the radial menu in the datapad.

Then you can change them to what you like, or just remember what they are, and USE THEM.

For example, he's not going to guard you unless you give him the command to guard you.

To do this, select yourself (using Ctrl +1), and type the "guard" command. I think the default is "guard."

Then he will attack even CL 80+ things that attack you.

Also, it's a good idea to memorize his other commands, like store, attack, stay and group. If you group with him, you get a group bonus on harvesting, for example. And you can tell him to attack a second mob if two are attacking you, so he'll draw its aggro away from you while you fight the first one.

Have fun!

i was a mch for 2 years. i know how to use pets. please read the folowing:

a cl 30 droid will not attack ANYTHING more than 10 levels difference from him. no matter if i give the guard or attack command. if you do not believe this, get a cl1 toon and a droid and try it. i did.
this droid used to belong to my cl80 toon. he would not attack l80 guys either, only l20-40.
