I do a little engineering on the side, and I found that sampling in camp was a great way to make bot Surveying and Survival XP. The higher regen rates help with the sampling, and using your action/mind pools gives you something to heal. If you craft, break out your tools and crank out some items at the same time. I max out camps farily easily this way.

I normally setup camp at my minig spots. Then I start sampling. Then while sampling is going on, I start crafting using two different kits so I don't have to wait on the hopper to pop out the prototype. I also heal whenever it pops up.

So:

Camping, Sampling,Crafting,Crafting, healing.

What downtime while camping?

anyone know how to get alot of survivla xp with just urself in a camp? i can never get a camp going in group, some one always has it up first.

I'm currently sitting in a camp now.... i just run in and out of my camp untill the visitor count hits around 15 (bug?), and than wait untill the time hits 15 minutes, disband and collect 600xp....

Its slow and boring, but at least u can alt-tab and do other stuff like post this message

Get in a hunting group and set up camps. The most I've gotten is 660 XP for my basic camps.

What is a good way to gain Survival XP. I rarely have to camp, (of course it is only my second day on the game) and was just wondering if there was a decent way to gain xp for survival. I gain other xp's fast, just not that one.

one way is to group with some friends that will let you make camps in between missions

another way is if you are going to grind out some stuff, like make some traps or med supplies or forage a bit or sample some minerals, etc etc.. make a camp where you're going to do it... the longer you sit there, the more stuff you do and especially the more ppl that visit your camp give you more xp.. at least it's been the pattern for me

Well man, I hate to be the one to say this to you, but camping's the only way. Just make a crapload of camps to keep in your inventory and when you see/join a large group try and be the first one to set up camp so they all use it (the more people camp the better the XP). I found that the best place to set up camp is in front of the Tusken encampment, west of wayfar on Tatooine. People are always there taking out banthas and tuskens and thus always need camps. I figure I must;ve got about 800xp every 5 minutes on a good day. Good luck!

If I leave myelf logged in overnight in a camp...would that help...or would it just be a waste?
