Exploration badges shouldnt be stopped becausee some people (myself included), enjoy getting them. You have to remember that just cos you dont like something doesnt mean noone else does either.

The "just because you don't like to do it" angle doesn't mean anything. After all, I don't like when people get murdered, but that's no reason for me to tell other people they can't go around murdering, is it? Of COURSE I'm going to want the game to conform to MY wishes. It's ME. The point of the thread was to get people to think how valuable exploration badges really are. Apparently, most people like them as much as the devs seem to, for whatever godforsaken reason.
At the very least, please please give us an option to make them display separately in the /examine window; the "# of exp badges" badge that has a drop-down with the specific exp badges mentioned earlier was a good idea.

I have earned my badges. If you want to be nosy and see what I've done by examining my character, YOU WILL see all those exploration badges. If you have to take a few extra seconds to scroll past the "worthless" badges to see the "worthwile" badges I've collected and this unduly affects your mental well-being you can stop looking at any time. Nobody asked you to look at me.
I'm a badge collector and proud of it! It's as much a part of my character as the biography I've written. If people are genuinely interested in my character and want to see everything I've done and the biography I've written, I welcome them to do so. If idiots want to see if they've gotten "cooler" badges than I have so they can feel more 'l33t' they're damn well gonna have to spend an extra second or two sorting through my collection.
You are entitled to your opinion. You can't argue worth a flip, however. You argue by analogy and you don't research your points. The point of this thread was never to get people to think about it. You were stating your arguments about why exploration badges should be done away with in your original post and they were laughably bad. You claimed that exploring isn't as valuable as the things you've done. Exploring is a"real" activity. Just cruise on over to theRanger forums ifyou doubtit.Perhaps we should just add a "consulted a faq" tag to every applicable badge that everyone acquires if that makes the accomplishments of others seem more real to you.I wonder how many of those warren and corvette badges would be without one.
If you want people to question the value of exploration badges, I can name atangible benefit from tests on publish 10. Three of them seem to be a requirement to gain access toAurillia. The rest are for fun. Don't know what's so unreal about fun. Why else are you playing the game if not for fun?
Does it seriously all boil down to you not being able to enter Aurillia because of some exploration badges and your annoyance with screen layout? That's all that you've presentedso far. You don't like an aspect of the game. That's fine.It's not tailormade to suit you specifically.Deal with it and play or don't and quit.

I just did my 45 explo, imp badges, now im doing my rebel ones. I personally liked the explo badges, my favortie being the lake Ewok village. VERY COOL!! pretty fun, and new change.

the exploration badges arent always that easy to get. sure sometimes you can jump on your vehicle and drive there but a couple of them are dangerous more so if your a noob with little combat skills. when i got the ppol under fort tusken badge it took me 3 times to get cause i was a noob who kept gettin killed in my attempt to run down to it, the crashed dathomir spaceship is also home to some pretty pissed off mobs and as i ran (or drove) for my life i was killed by a nightsister, sarlacc pit on dath is usually surrounded by rancors and dont forget the disease you get from either sarlacc on dath or tat. adis rest has droidekas hangin about who are pretty tough as well. rogue corsec base on corellia yeah they all attacked me and that was before i had a vehicle LOL. try runnin through the krate graveyard with noob clothes and unarmed 2 that was reak fun and who can forget the first time trying to get the yavin badges as a novice tka who thought he was tough enough to handle the temple of the blueleaf cluster. get my point? exploration badges are easy but not for everyone and not at all times

I love badges and belive they are some of the best and coolest things about this game. I think bagdes represent a players experience and when players work hard they want to be rewarded and they are cool
I find it that sometimes people respect you more because of the amont of bagdes you have(it sounds silly but is true what would look like a noob more a guy with master marksman or a guy with master marksman and 40 other bagdes?)

Personaly I think some are cool saying has explored and uncoved the mysitries or the ruined jedi temple and other stuff like that. People who dont have alot of bagdes or didnt care about them i suggest you should pick em all up. So far all I ned left is The hermit quests,Reb theme park and vette bagdes and track bagdes and im done(not counting profession bagdes) I acctualy feel good to have all those bagdes so when somone examines me they have to scroll down alot
