You really need all that stuff to have fun in the game?

I buy mostly everything off the bazzar in Coronet. It may not be top of the line stuff, but I still have fun playing the game.

If I were to add up all the credits I have ever had in game, I would most likely be in the millions. I have just never had that many at once.

If you're a PvPer, you bet you have to spend millions to have fun.

-4 layer comp armor

-Krayt Jawa, and other krayt weapons

-Acklay Stun batons and other acklay weapons

-DE-10's for the few pistoleers that actually PvP

-Crates of BE Brandy, Canape, Synthsteak, etc

All cost millions of credits when it comes down to getting the best to be able to compete in PvP.

That's why the game fails in pvp. To interact competitively with other players (resulting in a "winner" and a "loser") is what basic multiplayer PvP should be about, but in SWG you are inundated with complex systems and caps that ONLY serve to create a Flavor Of The Moment fighter with unfair advantages over everybody else. That is not competitive gameplay, it's making your numbers better than their numbers, regardless of the player's skill. Some might argue that getting the better numbers in the first place IS the skill, but it's not. It's just more time invested (wasted). there's no skill getting X amount of credits to buy that ub3r Z damage stun baton.

But if you don't PvP, the game has great cooperative opportunities. I think online PVP can only be succesful in RTS and FPS games. At the start of the match (most of the time), the playing field is relatively equal and the winner is determined by the player's strategic skill or shooting/manuvering ability (unless their cheating, of course. but all games have some degree of cheaters).

Lately i've been playing unreal 2004 onslaught, and next to counterstrike, it's the funnest PvP ever.

And I bet you complain if your buff costs more than 10k, don't you?

Don't let the negative AFKophobes get you down. Play the game however you want.

Is the beta testing almost over for this game?

Well, that's good - it's the whole object of a game. However, might I inquire as to what you do that requires no equipment over 6000 credits? Can't be any crafting profession - you'd be limited to personal harvesters, small houses and no factories. As for a combat profession? I'd be hard pressed to think of one that a 6000 credit weapon would be sufficient for. Maybe Novice Marksman or Brawler but certainly not any elite profession. And the best armor you're going to get for 6k per section is Chitin, or maybe mediocre Ubese. And you're wither walking everywhere, riding a BE mount or maybe a lucky find on an X-34.

Unless you're buying used gear, which will of course necessitate more frequent replacement. I'm not knocking your choices, I'm just genuinely curious as to what you can do on that kind of budget. It's OK when you're starting out, but after a year you're either doing the same old thing (which would get boring for anyone) or you want something "bigger and better".

It shocks me that it took so long for these guys to find this dupe, it was so incredibly easy to do.

someone mentioned earllyier that he could legit...make 400k credits in 2 hrs...i am a speedcapped master swordsman/master doc and in a large solo group i can easily make 1.8m in less than 1 buff session which is currently 3.5 hrs... so...tons of credits can be made legit ingame...to many having a million credits seems like tons of money...to me...i feel broke if i get down to 10mill

This is a lesson i learned from the get go.. Fast and easy money... any melee combatant can make tons of credits doing solo missions. Lets just hope solo groups will never be nerfed on mission payouts... then again i can still make that kinda cash with just me and my ATST

I fibbed a little when I say I by everything off the Coronet Bazzar. I have purchased some armor off player venders around Coronet. I currently have 80% Composite suit (minus gloves, boots as I play as a Trandoshan) and I bought if for around 130,000 credits. I didn’t buy it all at once.

I did get 5 BER 10 Heavy Mineral Harvesters off the Coronet Bazzar for 4000 each, and it had power and maintenance already in them for 3 days each. If you look, you can get nice stuff off there.

I have mastered

  • Artisan

  • Brawler

  • Scout

  • Bio-Engineer

  • Marksman

  • Entertainer

I have done a few profesions, and I take my time doing them.
