If you want a class-based game, there are plenty of other games to go to. Dabbling gives this game the freedom that others don't have. The problem is not people taking up just a portion of powers to get cloak. That's an advantage this game gives. The problem is if cloak is misused or provides a majority of the power/effectiveness available to the mastery. And if that's the case, whose fault is that? The devs.

I'm sorry I completely agree with you, it's for this reason that I love SWG. I love being able to go combat/healer, crafter/scount etc. There's so much freedom and it's great, you can really do whatever you want. I'm simply saying with that freedom people of course are going to try to maximize their potential and by doing so certain skills may appear unbalanced such as cloak. Now frankly that "advantage" is offset by someone elses choices in skill sets, and I believe no imbalance is created.
However as a community when we see something that at first may appear to be an advantage we scream for it to be nerfed instead of thinking rationally that the person using this ability has given up the option to use a different ability that puts them at a disadvantage such as Force Speed, Healing, or Channel. And it's because of these irrational people that this will continue to happen.
SOE set the game up that way, and I think it's the right way. But until we can mature as a community and have a give and take relationship with dabbling the Dev's will continue to nerf as the community screams for it. SOE could either remove the dabbling feature by changing the SP up or down, or the community can just shut it's mouth and start realizing that each of us has an advantage based on our chosen dabbler template. And that while you may sacrifice cloak and a possible sucker punch you have the healing or speed to even the battle after that inital disadvantage.

No dabbler can have +65 more accuracy and +25 more speed than a master, No dabbler can have A.I, no dabble can choke, no dabbler can total heal themselves. No dabbler can have stasis.
Don't tell me "tapes" B.S, master can have tapes too.
All branches have unique capabilities, and everything is mostly essential in Jedi's life. We can not have all, you know that, but we can have it a bit of everything. You should be greatful for that.

No, Nil, no.. It is masters who request for nerfs on others, not dabblers. It is IDIOT masters thinking that they will get something after nerfing lower tiers. It is masters who does all these.. Not dabblers..

Force Speed nerf is a minor loss. so MEnhancer using it with Doctor Adrenaline buff not guilty as a dabbler? So 44 LS dabblers can't be fast as MLS, guess who might have been wishing for it? Yes, MLS.
Sorry for your car and network cable. It is 36 Celcius here with no air condition too with 90% moisture andif you push up with flame everytime like this, youwill harm yourself more than anything.

Sorry for your car and network cable. It is 36 Celcius here with no air condition too with 90% moisture and if you push up with flame everytime like this, you will harm yourself more than anything.

You can't call doc buffs dabbling or else food buffs are dabbling in Chef, which dabbles in scouts to get what it needs to make the foods and scouts dabble in SoE for making the game and SoE.......

A "Jack of all Trades" are supposed to be a good template through diversity, but they should never match a master in their specialized field. Let's say you dabble in photography and programming. This means that you can take photo's and do some utilities, but you will never be able to bypass a Master Photographer or Master Programmer in their own field.
Whenever you do not need "Master" to be the best in a specific ability that ability will most likely get nerfed. This is a flaw with the whole system.
I wish they would fix so that a dabbled ability will never be more than 25-50% as powerful than what a master can perform with the same ability.
Force Wielder is almost in it's entirety based on your amount of force accuracy, except for Cloak. I wish all abilities in all skillsets can be based on a similar skillmod that you only maximize when you are master. Whenever you buy a dabbler ability cheap it should have a weaker effect and higher failure rate than what you will be able to expect as a master.

They attack your lifesupport and suck it dry. Once it's nerfed they simply move on to another "host", feeding their needs until thoose abilities are nerfed as well.
We have all right to be truly scared of dabblers. All oldtimers know perfectly what it means when someone suddenly start todraindabble in one of your favorite skillines. It's the next skilline to be nerfed. No skillset are healthy enough to survive them... no time in history have a master been compensated for a nerf caused by dabblers...
4000 Enhancer have almost no life left... 4000 healer was a juicebag... 0400 Wielder is almost drained now... 0004 was a snack treat...
What next will the dabblers sink their teeth in... who will be the next pray... 0400 Enhancer? 0040 Defender?
We have all right to fear the dabblers. They are our greatest enemy.

Well she didn't say it was dabblers that called for nerf's, it was just them that ended up causing them. MLS wouldn't have to complain if it was semi balanced, but nooo.
I bet mush pie will get the nerf too and I think it's the mid caves fault ! I say nerf the caves right now !

Sorry, I might have been reading this sentence wrong then... Actually, Masters call for nerfs on dabblers and so it is done. Was it dabblers being vampiric or masters being greedy ? Consequences effects all unlike Masters expect they will not be effected.
