I am stuck in the loop of "they are weak."

Even though it is not what was originally asked, the corvette is a cakewalk, Disable or kill the escort without hitting the vette.Target gun five with your guns preferably 3k max dam or better with weapon overload three running, dont have overload three you say find a tier three imp pilot or do a vendor search. fire at will goes down in a few shots make sure your aiming directly at the cannon on the vette.Staying below the vette fly out in front 1k and turn around. Whilestationary target shield and eliminate as soon as it is close enough to hit. It should automatically target secondary shield when the first is gone if it hasn't passed you take out the other, if it has fly out in front again and repeat for second. Tail the vette till you personally are 6k out from the rebel base, and the vette is like 200m in front of you,then disable the engine. on the enemy waves try to leave one from each wave limping off with as low an engine percent as you can without killing it.(for some reason if the engine gets below a certain point they take off in a single direction at top speed don't chase the they don't come back and if you get 1 each to do this from the first two waves no more waves come).If youdisable the vette before 6k mark the tier five gunboats will obliterate the vette. Imps have it easy with lower level gunboats that you can obliterate easy. The first time I tried thisi disabled at 6200 and tried killing all the fighters , the first gunboat appeared in the third wavei ledhim away and did iff scramble thenext wavespawned before i got back with two gunboats and the vette was gone in seconds thenthe gunboats chased me till I hypered out.When disabling after the 6k mark I did not see a gunboat after three spawns mission is complete at 1k out.

I think you are doing the duty missions not the actual mission I made the same mistake, where u have to follow a tier 1 tanker and protect it. Thats not the actual X-Wing mission
