sorry for the pervious 2 posts. bumped some buttons and something i cant explain happened.

Not sure if this will even be seen down here. Why people feel the need to comment on topics without actually leaving any useful info is one of the great mysteries of the internet to me.

Heres what Ive done with my plant:

Through out phase 1&2 of the plant's life I've kept a steady Perfect condition with slow growth by keeping both water and nutrients at normal level. I just entered phase 3 today and it immeadatly droped to full of life, and wilting growth. Both of my additives are above 900 OQ. Id like to also point out that it say right in the plants discription that every plant is different.

I have a follow up on the condition of my large plant, & some observations.

When last I posted, my large plant (that I'd had no trouble with until it reached large size) had been "Wilting" & "Near Death", but had just (with low water & low nutrients) got to "Slow Growth" & "Near Death".

That was about 4 days ago.

Since then, I've kept it at low water, low nutrients - I've not wanted to risk any changes, thinking they'd be fatal.

Anyway, growth has remained at "Slow Growth" & the good news it that it is nowat "Slow Growth" &only "Severely Wilted" - a step up from " Near Death".

From this, I think it safe to assume that Growth Rate is, for large plants at least, related to the increase in health states. Thanks are due to whoever suggested this some pages back, without that tip, my plant might be dead by now.

Therefore, if I do nothing but keep the growth rate at Slow, rather than Wilting, my large plant will eventually reach a perfect state & presumably bear fruit.

So my big tip for everyone is if your plant has even slow growth don't panic, don't adjust everything in sight, let it be, & it'll come good.

Also, be aware that when your plant hits Large size it will immediately go to Wilting. Adjust the water & nutrients until you get to "Slow Growth" or better if you're lucky. I'm unsure how long you need to let a setting of water & nutrients be to find out what effect it has on growth rate ... I'd suggest leaving it a day, & being patient ... settle for slow growth if you have to, & most definitely if your plant is "Near Death"

Iam.

Darthbod ... on another thread I read that a good idea was to move your plant into a private residence &/or somewhere where there is n't a constant stream of visitors causing the plant to be generated every 5 minutes. I moved mine, settled on low water & low nutrients, & got "Slow Growth" - which is working, see my post above. My situation was pretty much as desperate as yours ... I'd suggest putting yours somewhere private, setting to low water & low nutrients, leaving it a full day& crossing your fingers in the hope of "Slow Growth". If you get that, keep it at those settings until your plant gets better than "Near Death" ... when it does, you could maybe then start experimenting for better than "Slow Growth", or just leave be.

Good luck,

Iam.

I think the first thing Id try if my plant was close to death was to put it in my inventory anytime im not online - Im assuming the clock would stop ticking when it was picked up.
Then I would try the following Water/Nutrient combinations:

Dry/Very Low
Dry/High
Wet/High
Wet/Very Low

If you find one that gives Very slow or better growth just keep it there until it has gained enough health to give you room to experiment.
My plants dont update right away, but I have seen them update in half an hour, and without logging off. Id give them a few hours to be sure.

if you can get your plant into any growth other than wilting it wont die. This is really important to note. If your plant is on really slow growth and any health leave it alone, it will grow up in health as long as you keep it at that combination. I find my really slow growth plant has gone up a health level every 3 or 4 days. So remmeber that combination cos if things go wrong put your plant right back to that combination and it'll survive.

Has anyone at all had any fruit productionand/or plantsize changesince the village shifted to phase 2? If they only produce fruits during phase 1, I don't think it will affect me too much...at the rate my plant is growing, it won't be large until phase 1 rolls around again anyway...

Bogwalker, there are two things I'd like to mention in regard to your excellent post on drawing a grid. One is that each level of water/nutrients is actually two additions/subtractions, and we have confirmed that they can have different results. So your grid needs to be 20 x 20, not 10 x 10. Also, the problem with the idea of the circle with a center that is ideal growth - if you take a look at aachil's post, you'll see that it's not so nicely set up. The "steps away from idealgrowth" number doesn't necessarily result in a proportional change in growth rate.

Eyam and Angof, you're correct. As long as your growth rate isn't one of the negative ones - "wilting", "withering", or "dying" -you're in good shape. Or actually your growth rate could be 0 - "none". I've found that when I have seen 0 growth, the plant will actually update to very slow growth in a few hours.

And finally - a good luck wish to Orvo. Hope you find the magic combination to get your plant off wilting.

I had a plant go from small to medium yesterday.

My charts have progressed a bit now, and I do see a roughly circular area, though it is generally just 1 or 2 squares of slow growth surrounded by a ring of very slow growth. I think if I used a 20x20 grid as MalLorin suggests the picture would be clearer, but i havnt so far because it seems like it would be very hard to do, I mean if you set the resources that precisely can you be sure theyre going to be the same level when you come back 2 or 3 hours later to look for the change? generally I set them to the upper half of the level. My other reasoning is that theres no way im going to keep the resources that precisely set all day anyway, so whats the point in knowing the ideal spot to that precission.

What interests me now is that having seen an area of slow growth on my chart surrounded by very slow growth, Im fairly sure theres nowhere else to go to get, say, fast growth (except perhaps the half steps but I doubt thats goint to take me up more than one level). So im wondering if perhaps theres a 3rd dimension to the graph; so maybe once ive found the sweet spot I have to keep the levels at that spot and begin to play with the resource stats.

I am starting to doubt heavilly the fact that every plant have the same growth capability in them.

It seems some can not grow faster than normal and others not faster than very slow....

Will edit and update daily.
Please post your plant care regiment here so we can establish some sort of baseline.
They seem to update on 3hr cycles if you stay logged in, otherwise, it is difficult to determine.

Also, I have noticed, that sometimes the first viewing will not show the refreshed condition. I find

it best to view, then close window, step outside, wait 3-5mins, and view again. Status will then

update.

I am going to go with dry, since moist/fertile seemed to burn it a bit.

Start:

to get fruit such a many in last week. Now, the plant bear the one fruit
in 4-5 days with same condition before. It's seems to be past hervesting season
or changed in patch that likes depend on grow rate. (always Slow for the plant...)
