my theories (for those who care, but that's what this thread is for, not ? )

Health: each stage takes some time (let's call it a bar), that needs to be 'filled' then it moves on to the next higher healthstage or after it has been at at perfect to the next stage/fruitbearing. the time it takes to reach the next stage depends on it's

Growth: there are positive and negative growth rates. the higher positive the growth rate the faster health will move upwards. same for the negative growth rates.

water/nutrients: those influence the growthrate. as far as i can tellthere is no general rule for the plants they just seem to be different.

keep in mind that just because your growth rate goes negative (wilting or worse) that is no reason to panic. negativ growth also goes stage by stage(a perfect plant that wilts will become vibrant and colourful, full of life etc, apart that an eg medium plant can never revert back to a small one, but would die at the moment where it reaches the point where it would revert)

so take you time changing your wilting-causing settings, and change only one of them and then wait an see if there is a change.

i hope that was understandable, somehow it looks not quite as easy as in my thoughts

FIRSTLY - Well done everyone for detailed info.... while we all have individual plants, I think this is superb feedback to help each other out !!

I have had my plant for a while now (12-14 days at least)

Small Plant

Perfect Condition

Growth: Slow

Water : Wet

Nutrients : Low

It was Wilting / Fair for a long while, then I found keeping it WET / LOW made it get to Perfect Conditionin only 2 days.

Thought this was interesting as a number of people have mentioned the normal/normal approach.

Growth Rate has been Slow all the way through, and now it has reached Perfect Cond

I have bumped the nutrients to Above Avg to see if feeding it will push it off being small. (like a real plant i guess, dont feed it too much, and keep it wet while its young)

I am also making 1 or 2 level changes and 'leaving it alone' till I see a result.

Im using wild wheat & water OQ & DR high, but not the best. (I also dont think the stats are top priority)

I did use some creature resources in the early days, but it wilted and dropped health each time I used them, so im sticking to floral.

Currently:

Small Plant

Perfect Condition

Growth: Slow

Water : Moist

Nutrients : Above Avg

Wish me luck,

B.

Has anyone on the Infinity Server noticed that their Plant has not had any change in 2 days now? Mine has not absorbed it's water or nutrients, has not changed health or growth rate, and the oneI have producing fruit just stopped producing it. Both are at Perfect Condition and Blow Normal Growth Rate, but I have not had to water or feed them for about 36 hours or more...

Im thinking maybe it is because of the 6-7 Reverts we have had over the last 36 hours, anyone else can confirm this?

OK.. my plant was in perfect condition thru small and medium stages.. as SOON as it evolved into Large.. its Growth went to Wilting.. and its Health deteriated steadily. I tried many new combinations..including More..and Less lights surrounding the plant, as well as changing my resources.

Each day.. the Health got worse.. with the growth rate continueing to be wilting.

I logged in 3 days ago.. to find it Near Death..and still wilting... SOOO..i figured it was time to do something drastic. I moved my plant from our GuildHall.. to our hospital, took away all lamps..and drained all water and nutrients from it.

I Filled it again.. with Extremely high OQ/PE/DR resources, to Wet/High. The Growth rate rebounded to SLOW, the Health to Wilted.. BUT, It has stayed this way for 2 days now..lol

Any suggestions on how to BOOST this baby into action?

Thanks for the input, Amazon.

My Large has also steadily been in decline, currently at Excellent/Wilting.

thewenchys, I believe you have it right.

mschif, I've had funky things happening on Chilastra too, possibly due to the recent problems. My small plantis definitely using less resources. It made it to perfect in only 2 days (health improvements have been coming at about 4 days before that). Interestingly, the growth rate after it changed to perfect went from very slow to none. I had to coax it back up to very slow. So sometime in the next 2/3 days, if the pattern holds, I'll finally have my medium plant...3 weeks after starting.

To test whether online time has anything to do with growth, I stayed on for a couple of hours the other night. This may be what caused the plant to go from "full of life" to "perfect" in half the time it took for it to go from excellent to vibrant and from vibrant to full of life.

Orvo, I'm not going to tell you how to grow your plant, but don't you think you should be tweaking your settings? You've got negative growth rate (hence steadily declining health) but you haven't made a change in water/nutrient levels according to your log...

Will confirm this evening but recent experiments are letting me believe that stats of the water or the flora/organics used matter very little( read none at all).

Which in itself is not very surprising as making the code to handle mix of nutritients with different stats would be much more complex than just not caring about their stats and somehow I doubt SOE dedicated a developer for a whole week just to code plants growth
