Thread: The Complete Guide To Death Watch Bunker By Wengel *MOVIES ADDED!*

omfg, you guys are soo messed up, you want this to be a kiddy bunker so almost anyone who tries can get a piece of mando or a jetpack, your cmplaining about how the uber elites are gunna start selling, but imagine if MORE came out of the DWB, then there is more of a chance of it being sold, and there are groups with non jedi that can do the bunker, I don't know what you guys are talking about, it takes teamwork and effort, so stop complaining, if the DWB gets nerfed, alot of the vets will most likely leave because then there is nothing challengin gleft for them to do, SOE is now going to nerf it because they care for the n00b more then the 2 year vet.
Yeah, wanting to get something positive from the game is really, really, really messed up.
Nobody is talking about a "kiddie bunker", nobody here has said that, you're just twisting what has been said to suit your agenda.
If the place was taken down a notch, then more people who might be interested in putting in the time and effort to get craftable items for themselves would have an equal chance; or at least it would even out the playing field.
The DWB can still be challenging when the place is taken down a notch, because you can always try going in with a smaller group than you're used to, or trying to do it faster, there are many ways to continue making it challenging on yourself if you want.

Nowhere have the devs said that the DWB was added for the uber-elite powergamer. PPOR.
Pussycat its too damn easy as it is, if it got any easier you'd see mando for sale for 50 mil a helmet, I think the only piece I saw fvor sale ended at 225 Mil , and that is the only one i saw for sale, if it got any EASIER and it is TOOO DAMN EASY right now to do, a group of 8 with the right tactics can get in and out with a crafted item in under a hour, and since your not saying what you want done. i am going to flame you till im bored which'll be never, until you can present, clean, conclusive , well thought out plans you will never earn respect of anyone, and your plans are as follows
OH EM GEE!! Make teh bunk3r easier!! I can't do it cuz I suck!!

Well, geez, you guys can't make up your minds. First you say it's the toughest dungeon in the game, then you say it's too damn easy. Yes, I know that with the right group and the right tactics you can get in and out in no time at all, 'cause I've done it. You're assuming that nobody who can do the DWB would argue that it should be taken down a notch, yet I firmly believe that it should, and it's not because of me, but because there are players who are left out when a dungeon ends up unbalanced due to the CU.
Of course you want to keep things as they are, it's probably one of the few things that can boost your ego to say, "I can do it, and many can't". Makes u feel a bit superior, doesn't it? And that is probably why you want it kept the way it is. Either that, or you hope to profit from it.
Stop whining and refine your tactics.
Qui-Rae wrote:The way it was when the CU first came out was just sad, this ended up with the devs themselves actually testing the bunker out on Corbantis, i wasnt there at the moment but my friends were. No questions asked it needed to be made harder and taking into consideration that people now craft in it should be enough evidence that the bunker is balanced. When they first upped it the bunker would seem impossible, but people have adapted and now do it like we did it pre-cu.

And is there any evidence of this allegation of your about the devs? You don't have any screenshots, do you? I don't need to "refine my tactics" because they work quite well; I have already said the DWB is not impossible under the right circumstances. But those circumstances are more likely to occur in some servers than others, and there are still many players who are probably missing out. The DWB needs to be taken down a notch, make it more accessible, allow more players to see how much fun it can be. You want it to be a huge challenge, then try going with a smaller group than you're used to. Stop whining on behalf of the uber-eleet powergamers.

You're entitled to your opinion... even if it's wrong.
This idea that everything in SWG needs to be able to be accomplished by what you call the "casual player" and that things shouldn't be geared for what you call the "uber elite power gamer" is ludicrous. I have to assume that you also advocate lowering standards of education and eliminating testing, as it "isn't fair to the casual student"... and we should likely remove any physical trials or litmus test for our military personnel because the "casual soldier" ought to be just as welcomed on the front lines or as the person with their finger on the big red button. In fact - why not eliminate money, as it clearly isn't fair to the "casual career person" who doesn't really want to work too hard... those "uber elite workaholics" really do deserve to have their efforts be all for naught.
The bottom line is - the Death Watch Bunker is NOT particularly difficult right now as long as you have a well organized team of folks who have completed (or even nearly so) templates. It absolutely IS a challenge... and does require strategy... and to make it any less than that will ruin it as an accomplishment for those who enjoy a challenge... which, in my mind, is 90% of the population of folks who play games - including this one.
Last but not least.... I am further assuming that when they were handing out brains, and you got to the front of the line... SOMEbody said "let's bring i down a notch"....

How is it ludicrous to provide a level playing field for all players? Everybody pays the same monthly fee, so everybody should have an equal opportunity to access dungeons and special areas/instances once they have the CL for it. To say otherwise is to be an elitist pig. Uber-eleet powergamers just want to hoard all for themselves and not share with anybody. You cannot compare an ONLINE GAME to RL stuff like education, the military, etc. Because it's a GAME!!! That's all it is, a game for which we all pay the same.
The DWB will remain a challenge even after being taken down a notch. Why? Because it will still require coordination, strategy, and more likely than not, persistance (especially when it comes to crafting). It is no different than many other dungeons in the game in that it's impossible with the wrong group yet can be a lot of fun if you have the right group. That's what it all comes down to. And making it more accessible is just fair to the player base. If you want to make it more challenging for yourself you can try going with a smaller group than you're used to, it's no biggie.

Since the searchfunction isnt working right now you can always go back 50 pages or so on the Corbantis forum and look for posts regarding this as there was atleast one thread including screenshots of the devs actually being in the bunker. The rest has already been answered for by Ejai.
It still doesn't prove anything to say the devs were there. The devs may also have visited the Emperor's Retreat, I think they should keep an eye out for all areas of the game and not only those that need to be balanced.
