Thread: Star Wars Names: The Name Doctor is IN!
I must say I enjoyed reading this thread. Very interesting and entertaining. Here is the name that I am somewhat proud of;
Name: Ishpov
Species: Mon-Calamari male
Condensed Back Story: Ishpov is a knowledge seeking and order lovingImperial Mon-Calamari who has betrayed his race and willingly serves the Empire as an engineer of combat droids.
Kerjo Eatwar. Surname generated by the name generator. Male human doctor/combat medic/rifleman.
Also, Ergmo Eatwar (said more towards "Erj" than an abrupt cutoff with "Erg"). Female human musician.
Fisssk - Transdosian / Male / Tera Kasi / Squadleader / Musician
The sun was shining on the sea,
Shining with all his might:
He did his very best to make
The billows smooth and bright--
And this was odd, because it was
The middle of the night.
Lewis Carroll
Bishop Fisssk
The Brotherhood
Orazore, i really like your 'Fisssk' - sounds good as Trandoshan! ![]()
Anyhow, First char- - Natalya Jadys'varine (VK-224)- Novice Carbineer, Apprentice Dancer &StormTrooper!
ok i admit, pretty Earth-like surname, but what would you expect - /me has no imagination!
My 2nd char 'Nalyah' a Rodian Dancer...
This is not a normal name for a Rodian, But -
1. She was raised by humans, and her name comes from a young girl's missing doll...
2. She is partially human (her face looks quite like a human compared to other Rodians)
You might notice the impressive 'close-ness' of the names, but blame that on my imagination (or lack thereof)

Modin Ackack
Well the one name thing. And ackack sound like something you fly through. Keep Modin, ditch the Ackack, or ditch Modin, and add a letter in Ackack...Ackvack, Ackrack, Ackdack, Ackhack, whoa, I just realized most of those possible combinations are silly, like Ackpack, Acklack, etc.
Ty'llen Cymru
You know, I said I speak a bit ofWelsh, and here you drag CYMRU before me? Of COURSE I have torespond to that one. It's...well, it's...no. I can't let this one be. Species? Well theWelsh love their dragons, so I'll guess Trandoshan. The Red Dragon inspires action.
Very well done. Even though I gotta tell you that the last name Ackack was generated by SWG ![]()
Umm actually I must have missed the post where you mentioned that you speak a bit of Welsh. It seems that I missed where you come from too. And since I'm a lazy git I won't read through all the posts again.
The Cymru is obvious. What do you think of the Ty'llen though? My wife (who is Welsh, though she doesn't really speak the language) tells me that "Ty" means house. That made my day since my Trandoshan (yes you were right about the dragon thing) will be a master architect someday. And to round it all off it sounds like my RL last name too.
Looks like after 14 pages we finally cooled off. Whew, good run folks. Unless things pick up again (which I would welcome!) then I will review the final names tomorrow morning.
Thanks to all who sought my advice.
RbT
Here are my guild mates names, give them a whirl:
Taleena Lockhart - human female commando
Talchi - rodian male bounty hunter
Siduri Alighieri - human female weaponsmith
Eakak - zabrak male doctor
Nerfin Destroyer - rodian male ranger (if this doesn't get red name, I will be highly disappointed in you)
Zipp Longshot - i've yet to meet this character
Druuk - Trandoshan Bounty Hunter
It is a trandoshan soundingtwistapplied to my RL name.Played with putting some s's in there but didn't want it too seem too forced, or tomuch like Bossk, which seems to be the only Trandoshan most people know.
Meethos Khaless
Currently Sergeant for the Imperial Army
I use the alias "Methos" for almost all games I play. Originally I saw the name from the series Highlander. Since he was the wisest and oldest of the immortals, I thought the name (Greek) had some cool significance to mythology. Come to find out, Methos is synonymous with "drunkiness" (sp?) Unless of course someone can find an alternate meaning for me somewhere....I guess I'll continue to use it.
Khaless I got from Dark Elvish. I used to play Everquest and I was a dark elf. After reading books by RA Salvatore, I decided to learn more about the dark elvish language. Khaless means "trust".
Think the two go together well? Thanks for taking the time to do this for everyone. I think its one of the coolest threads on the forums.
I have 2:
Taeghas: Human Creature Handler/ Pistoleer
Erack Gybsahn: Zabrak BioEngineer/ Merchant / Pistoleer (I know BE and Merchant? How about going for the 2 most messed up professions in the game?)...
