The quote from Tiggs:
The 3rd party progam post was not only for macros but all programs. Changing anything with game play is considered against our EULA or TOS agreement including changing art, music ect.
I don't think this is the same thing as what this thread is discussing. No game files are changed, you merely copy mp3 files into a folder, and the game already looks in that folder and.. for some reason.. uses the MP3 files contained within. In other words, the game client was specifically programmed to seek them out and use them.
Another problem with the argument that this is against the TOS, is the fact that this thread still exists.. it was created last March, and they've had 7 months to lock/delete/whatever the thread, but it's still here.
A Definative answer would be nice from the Devs. I want to change my music because I can no longer stand the default music, but I also don't want to violate the TOS or EULA.

no it doesnt violate the eula.
According to Tiggs post on the subject, it is. She specifically said modding the music was a violation. I think it's crap that it is but I'm just reporting that she said it.

And I just got my music to work...
Turns out all i needed was more RAM...
Well, until I get a warning, I'm keeping mine.
I have the Tatooine Jawa theme for Tat, March of the Ewoks for Endor etc. Until the actual Devs can match my music from the trilogy, as opposed to the same generic crap for each planet, I'm keeping it.
Ive Managed To Change Most Of The Music In The Game But The Only one i cant is the battle music ... (the One I Want The Most) I Have The Song picked as the last battle music from Episode III and ive changed the file name but it still wont play .... i think it might have something to do with the a b c thing on the Guide could someone explain to me what i might be doing wrong?
This Is The Bit In The Guide i dont understand?
There is and a, b, and c for each player_v_player/npc/creat and the old combat music.

Combat Music (the stuff you want to change the most)
There is and a, b, and c for each player_v_player/npc/creat and the old combat music.Note: player_v_player does not mean it only plays while pvp'ing. The same goes for player_v_npc and player_v_creatThankyou
There are over 20 some-odd combst musics in the game, meaning that if you want it to play your custom music all the time, you'd have to come up with 20 or so replacements, all named correctly. If you just replace one combat song, you'll get that song about once about every 20 or so times.
This really should get some support from SOE, it really helps cut out the tedium which is the Star Wars score.
