I too was looking forward to a christmas pressie.Guess EQ2 ranks higher than us,as they are getting xp boost plus gifts to decorate their houses with.

What I was trying to say is this:
In the past I saw efforts by the Christian community to divorce themselves and their holiday from the secular aspacts of the holiday. Now I see the christian community upset because they in effect got what they wanted.
As for communism, you speak of this minor secularization as an indication that we are becoming a communist state, when I am trying to say that the fact that we have malls and holidays that revolve around spending where you can complain about the lack of religiosity in them should be proff enough that this great threat you see looming around the corner is a paper tiger.
However it is all moot.
The Wall Street Journal reported today that Holiday Retail Sales are up 4.1% over last year.
Looks like the big boycott was a non-starter.

As for the way Christians reacted to Christmas being tied to Santa and the like... What Christians? I was never offended by that nor was anyone in my family or that I knew.
if i may interject, Santa Claus is based on Saint Nicholas who as i remember was a monk in Turkey in the 5th or 6th century who was well-known for his generous gift giving... therefore, historically he was christian

nothiuaih - you need to do a lot more research on the history then ... as there is more then 1 person santa claus is based off of ... each country you look through there will be another person and another verson ... the one in the USA that everyone knows now ... came from a Coke ad 20 to 30 some odd years ago ... before that ad people had him looking differently ...
the basis for the holiday has roots in many many religions and beleifs ... it does not belong to just 1 ... and santa wasnt a christian .. if he was he would have been passing an offering plate around to take donations from you instead of passing out toys to the children lol

Take your "massive undertaking that no other MMORPG has attemtped" andput it with the Orb because no other MMORPG would (or could) release a game this unfinished (only because it is Star Wars.)

Christ is considered foul because a large % of SWG's consumers are christians. And to christians using "christ" in a negative way can be offensive.

How about you guys put in a code that makes spammers come up in bounty hunter terminals?
I cant think of any better gift than that.
Its simple..... hard-code an AFK tag on players that have no input for over 1 hour. Then have server put those spammers on BH terminals for 1k payouts (id do it for free really).
How about just a way for anyone to get visibility by being /addbounty-d by a large number of other player characters?
