I just checked my character and I am now glowing in the force. 
Here is what I have done along the way:
Profession Badges:
Master Marksman
Master Scout
Master Bounty Hunter
Did a little crafting (a few boxes in Aritsan).
Did a little Medic (a few boxes)
And that's about it.
POI's:
All POI's Available
Content Badges:
Both Warren Badges
Imperial Themepark
Jabba's Themepark
Nym's Themepark
I was surging until I did Nym's, so that was the kicker. I had to work a little hard to get to Nym's since I had -5K in Nym Faction.
Now I just need to wait for the old man...
Good luck to anybody else working towards this. One thing I never did was hologrind, which I am now glad I didn't do.

This is an awesome guide to your inner glowy. Don't need to ride the corvette (thank god) and the rest is fairly easy.

When Pub 10 went live, I was faint.
I had 2 of the jedi POI's
Cries of Alderaan Pt 3
Jabba's Themepark
Lots and lots of location badges.
2 parts of the Hero of Tatooinequest
I added the last jedi POI, the reb themepark, and theTheed Librarytrivia badge,went to surge.
Did Nym's, nothing.Did Borvo's and Darklighter's forkicks.Still at surge. Guess i'll have to try the vette or the warren sometime, after all of the traffic dies down.
UPDATE: Finished Hero of Tatooine, but still no change. Stuck at surge.No way around the Vettes or Warren for me I guess.

ok so far almost all the people here are askin the same question so i'll help out where i know the main badges you need are as followstheam parks(content)
nym's
jabbas
reb/imp
warren (people you need both badges compassion and imperial hero)
jedi
ben's house
jedi temple on dantoonie
exar kun's temple
(you must have all 3)
poi
krayte dragon graveyard
tusken pool
lars homestead
sarlacc pit
krayte skull
escape pod
After you get all these's you should be a shiny light bulb if not get more poi's

I can agree with this. Crafter alt was at 4 profession badges, 1 easy POI, and 0 Content at Pub 10. Do the /checkforce thing and it laughed at me even typing the command . We decided to see about getting glowy to help with some crafting stuff. Get her 2 Neutrel vettes, and she went to faint. Got her 2 easy POI, 2 hardPOIand 3 Jedi POI and she went to Strong. Got 3 Imperial vette badges and she went to surge. Got #4 easy POI, still surging, got her #5 and she is glowy.

I have the POI's, all 3 Jedi Badges, the Imperial Badge, and did Darklighter theme park though you don't get a badge for that one so I am not counting those, and I am Surging with the Force as well and I have to do a Profession Badge and 3 or 4 if Darklighter does not count content, so I am assuming that Surging comes when you get at least One content badge and have the 3 Jedi Badges.

The warrens did it for me on both of my toons. The warren currently are very easy to do due to many people being in there. Also, there are some people who already did the warrens who are selling the letter and 4 evidence. You just need check your trader forums or trader channel.

hello, i was wondering were do i have to go to do the imp pack thing, and the others. right now i have afaint sensitivity and i dont really have meny bages. can some on plz help me out?

Just to let you know, I didn't have 2 warren and I manage to glow. I have only warren imperial hero badge.

Thanks for the great guide, I picked up the POI's and the warren, nym, jabba (+rebel i had already) and got glowing

Thanks for the guide!However, I have a question..
Is there anyway to become glowy if you only have 3 content badges (Imp, Jabba and Nym)? I have over 20 POI badges, 4-5 are which jedi poi and approximately 2 or 3 difficult ones. I became surging when I visited the ruined jedi temple. I'm just wondering if I can avoid the warrens and figure out a way to glow? I'm mainly an artisan at the moment and don't have high combat skills...and my progress on them is S-L-O-W. lol

You need those content badges, you can't substitute other badges in lieu of content ones. For reference, here's how I got glow status:
2 Elite Professions (Doctor and Pistoleer)
3 Jedi POIs
5 Content Badges:
-Jabba's Themepark
-Rebel Themepark
-Nym's Themepark
-Corvette (Neutral one, can't remember which)
-Warrens (Imperial hero)
5 Easy POIs:
I have a bunch (more than 20) exploration badges which count towards this just from farting around in-game and exploring.
2 Difficult POIs:
-Krayt Graveyard
-Sarlacc (Tatooine)
Unless you did serious holo grinding and mastered a bunch of professions, I think you're going to have to get two more content badges, sorry.

Guide worked for me! I am now glowy on all POI location badges, 10 professions mastered, Jabba's palace, Imp Themepark, Nym's Themepark, 2 Warren Badges, plus some misc others that did not seem to matter.
Since pub 10 hit, I have gained the Mark of Intellect, Nym's badge, and then Jabba's badge made it for me.
