There's a few guides out there that gives you a list of all branches available to unlock each phases.
The idea is to select wisely or else you're screwed till the next phase.

I'm tending to agree with some people here, the FS quest rules are asinine. Like some other guys here, I picked a quest, for Saguillo, and found out after the fact that it's damn near impossible to complete.....at least at my level. I had the same thoughts as everyone: On all other quests, you have the option to give up and try again later. The warning stating that you can only do one quest at a time does NOT state that you can't give it up.........and that the only solution is to wait up to three weeks for the next phase to start.
The timeframe is also dumb. THREE WEEKS per phase??? And only 2 quests per phase???? Jeez.....I don't really feel like playing for a year to complete something that could be completed in a month, especially since I'm paying by the month. Seems to be a nice way to get more money suckered out of me, but whatever. I also feel bad for the guys (like me) that worked for months to build up a killer character (master Fencer/master Medic, w/some scouting skills), only to find out that once you start the FS quests, you're pretty much stuck where you are. In order for me to gain any usable XP now for regular playing, I'd have to drop skills, and re-learn something else, which will mess up what I set out to do in the first place. Granted, I don't HAVE to dump Fencer, or Medic, but not doing so sorta renders the game silly......running around, killing stuff for credits and loot.
That's not really enough to keep me interested for the two weeks I have to wait to start another "phase" of FS questing, let alone enough to keep me paying monthly for a year or so.
So, as it stands, I can try the quest over and over, continually getting killed, grinding useless missions in regular gaming to get money to buy more armor to replace the stuff I bought last week, get killed some more, grind some more, wait for the next phase.......sounds terribly exciting.
SOE really fell down at this point in the game......I've been playing games of this sort for quite a few years, and this is the first time I've ever run across a game that requires you to play an astounding amount of time to complete it. Other games, sure, you can play for a year, if you choose, and complete every little bit of it. But you don't have to.......you can master a profession, go elite, then become a master player within a few months, 6 at the most. A year is a bit excessive......granted, I'm sure you can do it faster, but that's my other complaint. It's damn confusing. I understand the concept that SOE doesn't want Jedi Wars, so they make it difficult, but they've gone so far as to make it SO difficult that 75% or better of people who bought and pay to play cannot hope to finish it. And that's a generous figure.
Sorry about the bitchy post, but I'm really disappointed. I'm not a younger kid with time to burn, I have a job, a family, and I thought this game would be a great wind-down for me at the end of a busy day. I don't have 5-10 hours a day to play, every day. So for me, I'll probably never finish. Upsetting, to say the least. At the barest minimum, they should change three things:
1. If you pick a quest that you determine you CANNOT finish at that stage of your character, you should be able to dump it, and pick up another, just like every other quest.
2. The Phases should be shortened in time, to a max of 2 weeks. 3 weeks to wait is too long. Ideally, each phase should only last 1 week, so that your average player can hope to complete the game in a reasonable amount of time.
3. Like every other quest, the basic NPC levels should be based on the skill level of the player undertaking it. My God, I'm being forced to try quests that players with 10 times my skill can't beat, how the hell can I hope to beat them??? Maybe set it up with a reward system. You can solo it, with lower HAM NPC's, but you won't get the Aurallian Banner, you'll get something else of lesser value......still rare, but not AS rare. If you group mission, you get higher HAM NPC's, and more unique rewards.
I think this is fair.
Sorry, again.......I'm just a bit peeved at finding out that I'll have to wait 3 weeks to be able to even start FS training, due to the rule that you can't quit a quest in favor of another. Kinda ruined my day, and stuck a crowbar in my gameplay.
