I have no intention of "grinding." I actually want FS skills that are useful to me, and only half (combat ones) allow trade of combat xp for force xp. A lot of people are actually doing crafting and healing trees to improve their character rather than rush to padawan status.

i only want the second character slot, I Have no interest in jedi. To tell you the truth i might be moving to the test center where i can have my 2nd character slot without haveing to grind for year stright. The new system was supposed to be quest based, i actully like the quest part but get the exp for the trees is just to unreallistic unless you play way to much or don't want jedi for years



The new jedi system was supposed to be quest based, i actually like the quest part of the new system, but the exp grind is just too much,. I thought the devs were moving away for grinding jedi, guess i was wrong.

I'm just doing it for the character slot too. All my friends are busy grinding too so I can't even have fun playing the game with my friends because they're off trying to get XP.

This new system is worse for the game than holo grinding in it's current form.

solo group in lok, killing gurk. less then 1 hours i cap my xp. 900k weapn and 90k combat. 1 buff session i can cap xp 2 time. i a master swordman using scythe to grind, faster u kill faster the grind. once ihave enough fs xp for phase 2 i'll be doing normal stuff like pvp n base raiding

Um eh.?

Not that i hate 3 week interval of cycles, when it could have been done otherways. It seems that SOE solved two problems at once, more paying players for longer time and reduce traffic at village.

BUT one thing i hate! i dont give f-word how fast within buffs i get xp capped, but go and take many shuttles and ride 5km to village many times a day!



Want to change 3.2 mil jedi xp to 1 skill point? I dont.

can't we just pay $75 or so for jedi and save us months of painstaking grinding? .. i mean, this is about the money right SOE?

Less time on the boards, more time playing!

I just logged off and tonight, I said Goodbye to the village.

I was one of the lucky ones that got 5 freebies (after doing 26 total profs) and tonight, I just finished my 4th box of Ranged Accuracy after about 4 days.

I'm a Master Rifleman (I couldn't think of any better prof to grind this stuff with) and could cap my 900k xp in 60 minutes, buffed and with 2 brandy. I capped almost 7 times today, all within 3km of the Village.

All you need to do is find lairs (Bolmas, Baz Nitches, Brackasets, Spiders, etc.) of anything that gives 3.5 - 5k xp a pop and keep ticking the lairs. Each lair should spawn at least 15 creatures. In between those, kill everything else. Of course, group with either a pet or someone else for the xp bonus.

Through these four boxes, I went through two T-21's, tons of buffs, and 4 or 5 stacks of brandy. If you WANT to obtain Jedi and are willing to work for it, it only takes determination.

I want nothing more than to open up a Lightsaber and get that damn purple bar under my name...

Wich means that you have to cap XP once a day, something that takes less than a buff session.

I don't see a problem here.

same here. if i get lucky with creature spawns it can take an hour at the least. I had 900k of swordsman and rifleman xp saved up, plus 300k combat xp and I was able to learn my free unlocked branch with xp left over. I got melee speed and it Pwns! since the patch went live i have capped myswordsman xpat least twice a day, and I will probably get my second tree done by the end of the week.

doc with havla and buffing for 2k xp.. yeah.. sooo hard.. =P or even like 5k..

This whole FS XP conversion could be fixed if only the devs made the conversion rates more better.


This is the way I see it:


Hologrinding was killing the game, why? Everyone was doing proffesions, citys were emptying, crafting macros were taking over real play of selling/making things, combat profs killing things for xp and entertainers afk'ing in the cantinas.

All for xp.


This new 'super' grind has just been given a few stupid missions, a time sink and away out of timeline story. Nothing has changed. Why?


People who want jedi will still be using crafting macros, combat profs will still be killing things for xp, and now to make it even better, instead of coronet where the lag usually is, now dathomir is more busythan the capitol of the SWG universe.

Nothing has changed, well, apart from it takes longer in the new system.

Its gotten worse, not better.


The devs never lied, its quest based. Notice the BASED. Its not completly quest made because, it would require adding good jedi missions. The jedi knight trials are a good example, they were BAD. The amount of imagination used to make them would make primary school children laugh.


Jedi knight trials synopsis:


Kill X of Y.


Done.
