Thread: Yavin IV
I have been there several times but it has been over a month since the last time. Yes, right around the mining outpost there were nests galore. INCREDIBLE!!! Now, we had a creature handler with us who had Yavin creature so everything showed /con blue to us. However, we still got booku XP for weapons and scouting. When I wasn't part of that group, everything showed /con red to me. Also, most things were aggro. Now, Yavin was a lot of fun. Incredible amount of fun and I am looking foward to going back there. Maybe when I get my AT-ST I can solo there...
Hey, has anybody used a Dark Stormtrooper on an adventure planet? If so, how does it even the odds?
Yeah I was there Wed and walked from the outpost all the way to the other city, forget the name. A lot of swarms of mobs around city and outpost away from those and didnt run into to much trouble. I even tried to get killed and I couldnt do it, all I got was incaps. I thought there was a three and your out rule but I had the same creature incap me 5 times and still did not die. Even had a crystal snake incap but not kill me.
I was looking for resources so I didnt really have time to see the sights, is there a lot to see?

How does man (reptile) get to Yavin from Naboo?
Through Corellia. You can only reach Yavin from Corellia.
There's tons to see...
- A set of three stone heads on the side of a mountain.
- Another stone head on the side of another mountain.
- I huge stone face staring off into the distance.
- A stone arch stading in a grassy meadow overlooking a river.
- Four temples, including the old Sith temple.
- A graveyard with markings on the stones.
- A number of huts and walls.
- A statue holding a sword.
- An Imperial Camp (complete with covert scanners) and a Rebel base.
- A battlefield.
Pretty cool place.
Cyi69 is right. You just have to break through the 1500-2000m meter wall-o-monsters barrier.(I heard they purged all those though). After that, it's easy to navigate if you mask and watch your radar. I have walked EVERY plant end to end without dying. Either with one buddy or solo. It's a blast, btw. Yavin is cool looking.

Don't forget about my fav, the burning tree
I remember when I went exploring on Yavin the first few times to see the POI's (not listed in datapad then or now.) The first skill tree I went up after scout was ranger wayfaring IV just to increase my maskscent ability, before it got fixed or broken, whatever, did somebody just say they fixed/broke it again? There were tons more creatures back then, the entire planet was covered and you were constantly weaving in between red dots.

I've been thinking of taking a trip to Yavin IV for a bit of a sightseeing vacation (a 6600 round trip one, that is). My question is, how high a level should you be if you expect to go there and not die? Should I only go there with a group? Are there any other advanced planets (that aren't all that difficult) that I should go to instead?
You should be safe as long as you do your site seeing on a swoop or something. On foot, it would depend on your profession(s) and skills.
