Well my post got destroyed so let's start again.

You do receive XP from fishing, or more accurately from harvesting the fish. The fish you get can be used as food, the chum for bait.

Here is my method for catching a fish (I have fished for about 5 min and caught two). Both fish followed this pattern: wait, nibble, nibble <tug up>, bite <tug up>, you have a fish. Then you wait and get to do nothing while it charges towards shore, puts up a valiant resistance but is losing, gets away whatever. There you have no control but self control.

Hopefully SOE will change this as the game matures. I would love options after catching the fish: slack line, reel in slowly, reel in fast, break pole and throw in the water, use dynamite.

Whilefishing is neither very profitable for XP or resources it is kind of neat (yes, I am old enough to use "neat" as a descriptive qualifier) that SWG has it in the game. Also, it isno more boring for me that RL fishing and at the rate I havecaught fish in SWG I will get far morefish onlineperminute wasted than I ever go in RL.

I usually use /forage to get bait and when you get a piece of bait in a jar click on the bait and slide it over to the fishing pole before the radial pops up with examine and delete..... then you just fish and pull and tug and when you get a bite you keep tugging until you get a catch and your guy will do the rest.....

If you don't have forage, you can buy bait on the Bazaar under Misc. Fishing Bait

Does anybody know If there is water on Tat so i can fish? If so could you give me the cords.....

Im trying to get a stripped fish from every planet

I dont think I have ever seen water on Tat. It is a desert of a planet after all.

Do stripped fish have only bones? Or do they do like a strip tease and take off stuff.

Glad I don't fish.

And isn't there a pool under Fort Tusken? That's on Tatooine I think.

I believe there are two Oasis on Tatooine, they should have water... plus I think you can fish in a Man Made fountain... i think....

I knew somebody was going to catch that i spelled it wrong.......

There is an Imperial base at an oasis but i cant remember the exact location, there is 'fishable' water there.

Imperial Oasis (near Mos Espa): -5270, 2810
Oasis South (near Mos Eisley): 1807, -6061
Oasis East (out in the middle of nowhwere): 6283, -422
Oasis Northeast (out in the middle of nowhere): 6645, 5453

The Southern Oasis is best due to the fact you can walk in most of it and don't have to worry about moving around and end up swimming and thus lose the catch.

I got a fishing shack on waters edge on Lowca server.
