Yes swg is a very unique rpg!
It is different from others, and quite unique. You actually get to live in the star wars world!
Doing whatever you want in star wars! Thats what i love about it!
You can live star wars how YOU want it.
SWG also helped me answer a lot of questions. How did stormtroopers get dewbacks? OHHH!! they had CH's just like the CH guy who owns the rancor at jabbas.
You live the star wars legacy, so any genre of star wars games you like, is packed in one game. You can show off how your better at piloting , and others show off their marksman skills.

I like SWG because of the graphics, the music (especially Lok), the emotes (they can make me laugh til my stomach hurts), the character creation options, the professions, content and so much more!
I could go on an on about why I like this game but in short, the Devs did an excellent job!

I like SWG cause I cant find a decent alternative (NOT FANTASY GENRE!)
Neocron was good, but the dev team is very quiet, and hasnt added much new content ever since it was released a year or two ago. Even though there was an abudance already there.
Earth and Beyond was great, infact, it surpasses SWG endlessly, the Devs listened to what players said, bugs were few, if not nonexistant, but.. ENB's company was bought out by EA then driven to the ground and the servers were shut down permanently on sept 22nd, 2004 at 12:00 AM PST, to make way for the Sims2 file transfer system or whatever.
EVE online was far too slow paced. You had to sit and do the same thing for hours on end to get anywhere.

I love this post!
Ive been browsing the forums alot, but i dont usually post... and ive noticed so many people flaming the game when its trully incredible. nice to see some people with a possitive attitude
As for what I like? Its so different and so diverse! You can be anything from an swordsman to a pistoleer evena businessman or a chef! how many other games have chefs and entertainers???
I also love the combat and how its not a big click fest like a lot of games and PvP isnt an unavoidable threat like it was in UO... i think thats one of the biggest reasons i play... I love everything about the game (except Dizzy/KD)

I like SWG because Mon Calamari's have always been my favorite species and now I get to be one everyday.
It's little things like watching ROTJ and then playing SWG and walking into Jabba's throne room yourself that make the game exciting.

personally, for me, the game is a never ending challenge. Yes, its easy at the moment because of buffs and the such, but still never ending challenge none the less.
for example: I am in the middle of the jedi trials. if i feel like going and doing them, i can. if not, then i wont.
i am in the middle of tier 3 of JTL. again, if i feel like doing it, i will, if not, then i won't.
i can be anything i want to be. I like the social aspects at times. i like the REAL group hunt aspect, and i like the solo aspect.
I am climbing the imperial rank tree, slowly but none the less, getting there.
there is so much to do that i don't ever get board.
also like to add. i would like to send out a thank you and a good job to the devs for the game. it has bugs, it has problems. but all in all, i think its a very well thought out and good game. keeps me entertained for hours. and doing that is a challenge in itself!!

and for any winers that want to come in and complain, step on another post. this is for the people that like the game. thanks..

470+ Days in the the game so far,only mastered threeprofessions yet,I´m having too much fun playing them that I´m having trouble dropping skills for any new profession.
So much to master,so much to explore,so many friends to meet,only bad thing is.....
Only 24h a day to play and sometimes you need to sleep.........

YES! this is a great reason why i play too! Movies help motivate grinding! Sometimes if i get bored of shooting something i see han and the crew trying to fly away from ties...i just hop into my ship and fly off and blast ties!
On the other hand it gets me down to see the imperials all get killed..so i go off into my tie and blast x wings!
Othertimes i'll see stormies blasting at the heroes and then...i feel like shooting them too....and well i get xp!
