Use a DLT20 until you can use the Laser Rifle. The DLT20 has a nice damage group so the amount of damage it puts out is fairly predictable which is nice. They are also relatively cheap with low HAM costs (compared to other rifles) and decent speed. I used one thru rifle III.

Once you can get the Laser Rifle cert get one. These are fairly common and the price isn't usually to bad for a good one. The damage has a widespread however. So you'll get some real nice hits then some really bad ones.

Don't forget about slicing and powerups. A max 30% powerup can do wonders for a rifle. My Laser is damage sliced and poweruped. Max damage is 690's. Of course the min is about 50 so there is a large spread there.

Anyways. As long as you buff your Focus with Breath of Heaven and Rhyscate HAM costs are not an issue.

welll my laser rifle that wasnt amazing, but was decent converted to 1030 max damage *drool* So I would look for stats in that range, i dont really know most crafters are still getting the hang of the new system and making runs so give it some time before spending some big money

Best rifle depends on how good the loot was. Seems that lasers or T21's are the best now.

Also it depends on what you are fighting. If you are facing a PC with scout armor on I would put up a Kinetic damage rifle (LD-1) against any energy rifle. But as far as energy rifles go T-21 and Laser are your best bets.

So why isn't the disruptor, a master rifleman cert weapon, any better than a T21??

It will be sad to see everyone being able to carry a T21 when I worked to earn mine

the disrupter is not a master cert'd weapon - it should be CL40

It is CL40, but it's also a master cert weapon, I just noticed that on the weaponsmith forum.
