Hello everyone, I started playing SWG when it first came out. I played for a long time, then the holo came out and I wanted to become a jedi really bad so I grinded and grinded hoping to unlock the slot. As it was I ended up mastering 29 Proffessions until I couldn't play any longer due to Real Life stuff going on. Well I have been away from the game for quite awhile now. I just started playing again and alot has changed, like the Overt/Covert and the whole PVP system. Last I knew of jedi's were that once they turned on there saber or used there force powers it would give them a TEF and anyone could attack them. I'm seeing that they did away with the TEF now. Anyway I was driving the other day and I just happen to pass by a jedi that was out in the feild grinding, He took off really fast once I passed by him, stopped attack what he was killing and everything. I don't get it, If I can't attack them why would he leave? I'm really just looking for a web sight, and these forums are sooo speard out now it's very hard to find what your looking for. SO I 'm asking for some input on how the jedi's PVP system seems to work now, Also I have question about how jedi get on the bounty hunter terminals in the first place. Guy told me that just cause I seen him the grinding the other day that would put him on the terminals...Is this true? I just want to know these questions cause I started the road to becoming a jedi and I intend to pick up where I left off, but I need to know these things so I don't get myself in trouble. Also other guy told me that once your a jedi and you become a Knight your always in a PVP status, and you can't get out of that.... That would make it very hard to get buffs yes? Don't know, just so many questions. If anyone could direct me to a web sight or just answer a few of these questions for me it would help me a ton. I don't really talk to many people on my sever anymore seems that most of my Real life friends don't play anymore but I still plan on playing this char and not starting another 1, so really I'm alone atm and most people in game will not answer questions nor help. Thx any info would really help me

The Jedi stopped attacking and took off because use of force powers within 32M of a player or NPC creates "visibility" which adds up until you reach a magic number and end up on the bounty terminals.

More than likely the Jedi you saw was low level and grinding his or her skills and doesn't want to deal with the XP loss and hassle of being killed by a bounty hunter.

ya I was really, really upset that they were changing the system after I had been grind day in and day out to get there. Yes I have done all i need up to the point of grinding the exp in the village. One Tree to do, rest were covered by my holos that I had done. So far I have grinded out about 110k force combat exp, just waiting for the village phases so I can get the tree I need. Thanks for all the info guys, I really need all the help I can get with all the new stuff happening, it's hard to get caught up.
