Fortunatly for everyone who enjoys the first amendment, we still have free speech on these forums... To an extent. And do not have to deal with the "developers" attempt to white-out Christmas while on these forums.

I'm curious as to why they do it wonder if they white it out because it is Chris ending with a t but
. Should try to see if hanukah (SP please) and Kuwanza are illegal too.

I'm trying to think up ideas for christmas songs. I saw a post about the night before christmas mixed with starwars galaxies and thought it was pretty cool so I thought I would try to take some existing christmas songs and mix em up with starwars galaxies. This first one is kind of lame but its my first attempt I will write some more up later.
Oh! You better watch out,
You better not cry,
You better not pout,
I'm telling you why:
Thunderheartis coming to town!
He's making a list,
Checking it twice,
Gonna find out who's naughty or nice.
Thunderheartis coming to town!
He sees you when you're on,
He knows when you're AFK.
He knows if you've beenbanned or good,
So be good for goodness sake!
Oh! You better watch out,
You better not cry,
You better not pout,
I'm telling you why:
Thunderheartis coming to town!

I think it would be more appropriate if you changed Thunderheart to GarVa but i still like it.

It's Christ that is being filtered out when the language filter is on -- A big deal but I never knew until I was playing on a secondary server and wished someone a Merry Christmas, the filter was on and I'm like: Did I just say the f word accidently?
What is most irrating is when you try to name a crafted item with the word Christmas in it. Last year I was trying to make a backpack named: Merry Christmas. The backpack was supposed to be like wrapping paper, lol. Couldn't do it. Same with house titles and merchant greetings. I just doubled the i or any letter to get through but others have gotten creative with like C.h.r.i.s.t.m.a.s. and the like.
Filtering out Christ and Jesus in general can be looked at as doing a favor to believers to avoid seeing someone use the name in vain. But to justify that they would need to filter Allah, the Koran, Buddah and any other religious name known to man -- Which they do not. So I find this offensive.
Especially when on games like FFXI Christmas is NOT filtered. After finding out that Christmas is filtered on here I immediatly went to the Japanese MMORPG to check. It is not filtered. And whew! I'm glad, because I look towards Japan as being the only free country left in this world. FFXI even celebrates the Easter! Which SWG didn't acknowledge last year as even a holiday -- Correct me if I'm mistaken as I really do not remember.
But just in general... On December 25th it will say Happy Holidays from the developers instead of Merry Christmas. That alone shows their intention to white out. I would much rather them wish a Happy Channukah now and then on the 25th a Merry Christmas instead of this asinine Holiday crap.
The way government and corporations and TV networks are not acknowleding each celebration this month indivually but instead as a whole, "holiday," it only further proves that multi-culture does not work. Which I actually disagree with. There will always be one or two indivuals who make a fuss out things, but in general people do not mind. Just look at the pledge of allegiance and what all happened with God in there thanks to one indivual who used his daughter to advance his agenda... Insane.
-- On a side note though.. I don't mind "holiday" as we do live in a multi-culture socity. However, when they have reindeer, Santas, stockings, decorated trees -- All things related to Christmas, and say "holiday" ... I find that offensive and absolutely asinine. To justify the use of "holiday" they would need to include a menorah, thanksgiving turkey, halloween pumpkin, etc... Otheriwse it is just offensive and promotes an intollerance.

thats because california is trying to remove christmas from everything an this is in california isnt it? I do not think its the devs persay. but them trying not to get shot as they leave work. lol isnt it officailly giving trees now out there instead of christmas trees?
Can we possibly get any lamer with christmas? Nevermind, i know the answer to that already...
Now my way of thinking is if you want to ditch the idea behind christmas so bad then you have to ditch the gift giving idea to christmas which was three indivduals bringing "gifts" to christ. so if you truly wanna wipe it out then no more presents. not to mention that goes for the birthdays as well since that is where that idea came from.
if one wants to get rid of something like this get rid of it all do not pick an choose the best parts and ignore the rest. just shows laziness and being self centered. "not saying to you just adding to what you wrote i agree totally on what you are saying"
always love how the first admendment abounds with some people, yet when it comes to others 1st rights those same people wish to stomp on it til there is nothing left.
I like this time of year, brings out hypocricy to the nine's.

I hate living in CA at this time of year, honest to God I do.
There is no more depressing place to be for Christmas then Los Angeles... They do not decorate for Christmas at ALL! And many communities around here have a large Jewish population so you would think they might at LEAST decorate for Channukah... But no. Nothing.
And on top of that its 80 degrees outside. If someone didn't tell you the month it was you would have no idea Christmas is around the cornor. It's just like any other month and day here in CA.
I also used to like the word Holiday, thought it sounded fancy. But I have come to despise the word. Really disgusts me to even say it.
