humans can bring their stats (primaries and secondaries) up to 1100 thats right...but its no bug but part of the (weird) game design

theres the problem with this game
there is no longer such thing as
Not buffed combat
its ur buffed or ur bombed
only thing i have seen alive in battle, unbuffed are
Combat medics
Jedi
so forget about it, just slam ur mind stats up, then throw the rest in to ur action nad health so u have higher stats
ur health and action secondaries are useless, always be buffed!![]()

I agree However I belivethat the combat revamp will put a end to that. At least help it out a bit.
Because I remember back when SWG first startedwere there wasn't any docs and a lot of us didn't know what a buff was. And most of us were doing mission with looted weapons we got from all teaming up and killing a meatlump. Look at the early pics most of us had bone armor because thats all there was. Back then your HAM was super importain. If you didn't have your ham just right with what you were doing (either combat or artisan or entertainer) you would die or run out of action or so on very fast.
And for the perfect ham. What I do is ramp up on everything on mind so when I am buffed all my bars are super high rather than health and action super high and almost no mind.
The reasons for this is that so many things make a difference to HAM: like encumb. on weapons/ armor, what prof/ species you are (and if u change prof without changing species that will also have an impact), what you are fighting (in pvp for excample ppl will try very quickly to find out your softspot and use it against you, no matter if its health/ action or mind. and in pve you will from time to time come across stuff that you have a hard time fighting)
I think this would be enough excamples of why i believe the perfect HAM stats dont excist?
Of course, some stats are better than others for certain things but with so many variables you should get some all-round good stats and stick with that. (This is why we have image designers- so we can change those stats depending on what needs to be strongest at any given time)
Regarding buffs/ food/ drink.. they are a way of pathcing up your worst flaws (and in pvp it also does this for your enemy so it kind of neutralizes itself in that respect) while in pve what it really does (at the moment at least) is enable you to fight MORE tough enemies at a time instead of having to deal with them down one by one and having to take alot longer because you cant spam specials at nearly the same rate unbuffed as buffed. And finally; regarding "the beginning" (or whatever you want to call it) and alot of bone armor and groups hunting together.. Its like that always in new games, it takes a while for people to test/ master various professions at first and to figure out what works and what doesnt so of course cooperation will be much more important in the beginning of a game rather than later when "everyone" knows it anyway. (Just so that is said also; i welcome some plan of "re-introducing" the hunting groups again, but it must NOT be forced upon people or it will never get popular again! What needs to be done is simply to have various bonuses that make people WANT to get into hunting groups again (non-solo groups that is).
Mainly because I tend to pick fights with things I can handle, and carry around some brandy and pixie just in case.
Yes I got buffs, mainly for theme parks and harder npc missions. I do not usually get them, but then again I prefer PvE combat and rp interaction with player characters...

since I'm an avid PvE'er, I have to be buffed alot.. so since I am buffed all the time, and I'm always in armor (read: new armor every 2-3 days.. lol) and can't be troubled to find a smuggler all the time to slice the armor pieces, I go:
400 / 400 / 400 health
400 / 400 / 400 action
1100 / 900 / 1100 mind
the reason I chose 1100/900/1100 mind is because 1100 is the cap and the focus can bebuffed6 times(3x Ahrisa + 2x Brandy + music), while mind and willpower can only be buffed3 times (2x Brandy + dance/music)
this set up assures zero HAM penalty wearing full 9-piece unsliced comp armor on any of the 6 stats, and maximum mind regeneration..
thus totally buffed (assumingI'm hit with a 2400 power doc buff)and fooded up (using 420 power brandy and ahrisa), I become:
2800 / 2800 / 2800 health
2800 / 2800 / 2800 action
3040 / 3900 / 3040 mind
of course you have to be human to do this =P
I'm the same as above, apart from only wearing Advanced Composite Head, Chest, Gloves and Boots (which covers everything pretty much) and using Vagnarian Canape instead of Ahrisa as it gives more of a boost for less duration.
It all gets a bit silly if you use Vercupti, Combat medics in the group take note of peoples mind as they heal, one once commented on my 5k+ Mind bar.
I log on my main, a Doc and Music/Dance char, buff my main and head out.
Theres still "challenges" to be had even with stats that high like managing combat chef buffs/spice and keeping your mind healed.
But it does get a bit ridiculous, stick an Anti-Decay kit on a sliced PSG, 90% sliced Comp Armour and all those buffs... not much will hurt.
You'd think all that would detract from the fun and challenge of the game, but you find yourself doing crazy things like running into 50+ SBD's just to see if they can kill you.
