Thread: I HAVE HAD IT!

i gained most of my xp for survival by walking around in aimless circles for a week....just a single week. I would log out using a camp (just to be on the safe side) and i traveled to almost every POI on tatooine before we got the list in our datapads.

To tell you the truth, you can find a lot of fun in the game through random encounters with players. Found the squill cave because of someone else's tent sitting out in the middle of nowhere. The guy pointed me toward the entrance, and we waited for another four people before embarking (as a note: this is also where i gained a ton of my hunting xp *grin*).

after that i walked around until i found the tuskan fortress...and watcha really stupid partyrun right into the front door. Was very interesting to watch all of em get slaughtered except for one (who i ran in and dragged out.) for saving him he gave me my first word of advice....

the numlock key is autorun..........

im serious...don't EVER say you have a harder time than me...i ran around for a week before i was told the numlock key was autorun.....can you imagine an hour of running? i had to take breaks every 2K meters.......gah!

I have to share the computer with my brother yet enjoy camping. I dont grind but if im near something i will just do my usual (wander aimlessly with my friend) and get skins. Camps are great in planets like dantooine as the group needs somewhere to heal. But dont grind, you bought the game to play not just become the best.

You know...i am grinding survival right now (im 4/4/4/3) and I plop'ed down a camp 400m from the Coronet starport (just outside the south entrance). I had people stop by non-stop....just hanging out and chatting in my camp. At one point there were 9 people sitting around the camp fire....people that i didnt even know. Yah...I am sitting in camp and making practice camps (which give so little xp)...but what I learned from this the most is that placing camps in heavily populated areas makes the grind a bit easier when you actually meet new people and stuff.

There used to be an old saying in the Ranger forums that read something like... "A person will do all he can do avoid your camp if he doesn't need it, but a person that comes and sits in your camp for awhile, that person is a Ranger"

Wow that is so far off from the original, Oh well, I hope you get the drift, a lot of the people that stop by your camp for a bit are Scouts and Rangers who know to well how long that XP takes to get, and are helping out by upping your visitor stats.

This was the final blow for me!

After the much hated for me Publish ten( Damn jedi getting too much attention for being 1/100th of game) I found out I couldnt log in , well I kept trying for a few days, then my computer now locks up completely before the log in screen , I HAVe to pull the freakin power cord to fix it

Cant file a bug report, game locks up

To make it worse before hand, I was getting no respones form CSRs on my bugged vendors

Devs have just stopped careing

I will cancel my account since it is just lineing their pockets with my cash for nothing I can do

If a dev reads this , maybe they will give a damn and try to help me

That is pretty messed up. Devs will suredly eitherignore this post or remove it since it shows negativity toward a game that damn sure deserves negativity.

There is, however, a bug tool in the SWG program folder for offline file scanning. Perhaps you have already tried that, but it is just an idea.

And do not forget that we have Thunderheart's little assistant to ignore us now...

I'd bet money it's your firewall. The game exe updated and now it does not have permission to access the Internet.

All you need to do is tell your firewall to permit access for the updated SWG exe (probably Launchpad) and you should be fine.

SOE doesn't care because it's not their software that's causing the problem. It's your internet security software.

Less time pointing fingers and more time seeking the logical cause, please.

OK first off:

I have NO firewall, so thats not it

I have just a few days ago got new drivers, ran all the virus and spyware scans possible under safe mode and removed everything

And I tried the uninstall

And for the moron who said Pub ten had nothing to do with jedi , first off it is called "Jedi Trials" , it is the new way to make half to game stop doing whatever they do and go try for even more jedi

EDIT: Also , my comp always ran SWG, so your saying its not SOE's fault that they might have made higher requierments without telling? and so its my problem?
