I agree with the original poster, he and all the other new jedi should delete their jedi and start working at dairy queen

I warned everyone. I told everyone. I was right. Sony never should have listened to those that whined about the old Jedi-gaining system. They would whine, they would leave, we would all move on, the game would stay alright and Jedi would stay at least half-way rare. But now there are so many Jedi, people are leaving in slews.

The thing that disappoints me most of all is that my friends and brother used to be able to say "my friend's/brother's a Jedi!" and they would get a "oh cool! really?" type of reaction. Now if they mentioned my Jedihood they would be greeted with scornful looks or "big deal" type of responses.

Sony, you have poisoned the profession that your most dedicated players worked so hard to get. You promised us we would be rare. You promised us you would make Jedi fun and interesting. For everything you say, the exact opposite happens. We are a weak, common-as-dirt profession, filled with Jedi that have gotten a free ride all the way through, from the complete and utter joke that is the new Jedi-gaining system to the endless AFK grinding of wookies, it's like watching a criminal get through his entire life with the same amount of happiness and total lack of punishment as a hard-working, upstanding man.

Anotherdelete everyone's Jedi but mine post. /sigh

Look, when <insert MMORPG name here> first comes out, seeing a player at max level is cool. After a while, people with real lives have enough time to get to max level and you need something different if you want to stand out. The same goes for Jedi. Once perma-death was removed, it was only a matter of time until everyone had a Jedi.

You really need to get over it.

If you think you deserve to stand out because you are willing to spend more hours per day playing this game then most, then I say you have an ego problem.

I am not some johnny come lately Jedi. I've been a Jedi since shortly after the crafter jedi cried away perma-death.

Don't hate on your fellow players because they want to experience the same things you have. Thats just greedy.

I understand what he's saying. In the old system, it took much more dedication to your cause to get Jedi. You had to play with a crap template that kept changing, locked in a non-stop grind. A grind that you never knew when it was going to end.

These days, it's so easy. You get to keep whatever template you like, you know EXACTLY how long the path is and what exactly is on the path. Grenade here, grenade there and boom, you're a Jedi.

yeah, I miss the old days. Granted it took me 2 years to get my jedi but the holo grind was perfectly fine with me until I heard it was gonna be quest based. Now there are jedi everywhere which is fine with me however, what gets me is that someone completely new can have a full temp before me. I mean come on they master one profession and run the poi's for badges. Even before the cu I would get asked for help cause they don't know what they are doing or they aren't even strong enough to take on 2-3 stormies alone. lol. Anyways, whatever, the game is what it is now and regardless I still enjoy playing my jedi....after all.....this is what I strived for all these years. On the bright side, more jedi is less bh attention to one jedi since there are so many more missions.

Heh, all joking aside man, I too see the writing on the wall.. no doubt about it.

BUT do this (And trust me it works)... A few things, give up on the "too many", "respec Jedi" etc... it happend. We can't go back..it's not possible I know how you feel, we are merely a shadow of what we once were period.

So, what you do is you just sit back and be thankful you had the chance to be part of the start of Jedi, be glad you were so scared to log in you would worry before you got in if you were being stalked. Be thankful you unlocked in a time it was rare and unique , also having it take , time, credits planning and some serious tact. All you can do is kick back and just be happy you had the chance to see it in its glory stage and un-watered down version it is now. I mean there is nothing else to do, I have learned just to apriciate the fact I was able to make 3 different Jedi and more Sabers then most of these guys have Pearls or crystals.

All you can you can do is just be happy and move on. I am thankful...that I did. Now Jedi is merely a fad...half of what it was and done in record time. Its almost (Not quite) but almost a Normal Elite Prof... I think this is what the DEVs wanted, but I also think this is what we have been pushed to. It had to happen it's way past any of us to be able to control. Short of adding a Tef system back in or a Perma skill loss, I think we are pretty much destined to be just a Normal toon... almost a choice when you make a toon even.

The best thing you can hope you did is take alot of Screenshots back then, I enjoy looking at them time to time... Look at it this way, you payed the very high price and paved the road for all of these guys to be able to do this. (Just think if saber decay was still active lol)... Oh man and the Crit fails on them... 50% would be flipping out, these guys have no creds and did not plan like we had to lol.

It's all good though man, just relax play the game and just try to deal... I am, But I also know there will be a price to pay for this mess and you can bet its not going to be SOE...that takes it, it will be us... no doubt of that one.

Good luck and just forget about it, even if you see the freaking 20 guys on the Ryatt trail

This is all funny to me, the oldest jedi on each of the servers probably had to do the least amount to get the unlock. The first jedi in my guild unlocked on her 9th profession. The first 5 I know of all unlocked with under 15 professions. Then the silents increased and the amount of work increased. Pre-village jedi had to grind to get the unlock, post-village had to grind to unlock, all pretty close to the same amount of xp, the only thing that has changed is the type of grind, so to say your more uber than someone else because you had to grind a different way or you did it faster is stupid. When in fact if you were one of the very first Jedi you probably did less work than pretty much every Jedi that followed you. Just deal with it, the longer the game is live, the more people are going to reach the end game, its a natural progression.

Anyone who agrees with this raise your hand. Ok now anyone who’s hand is raised better be willing to delete their jedi and start all over again, otherwise put your hand down. I have the feeling a lot of hands just fell.

Anyone who has a Jedi, especially a post 10 jedi, has no right to say the system needs to be changed. You would be saying this if you weren’t a jedi yet. You can’t say, “Well I did it and now no one else should be able to. It would be like a respecced jedi coming on here and saying the grind to fully templated should be harder.

If you still want this, fine fight for it, but you better not have the Jedi Padawan tag after its implemented.

Wait.. if your asking if I would delete my Knight to take us back about 1.8 years with no unlocks..Id do it in a heartbeat , Id give it all up --Hell --even the bag of 50 Pearls , 9 sabers and the 100s of millions spent on all the crap I had to make or use in the process.. Id take all of that loss to do that yes.

(if of course that is what your asking)....Thatway nobodyhas the unlock , nobody is better then anyone and nobody can whine or cry.

Man I would do that so fast..... it was such a more simplistic time then.

Now I have guys telling me they are reporting me for exploiting becuase I only had 10 badges... no joke.....lol

Well said, my wife and I were there as jedi when it was rare, these are our exact same sentiments. haha, I will never forget that feeling while grinding when that blue dot would pop up on your radar, knowing full well they could saber tef gank you at any time.

Or when no one knew exactly how many deaths it took to lose a skill box or how the deaths multiplied to make you lose two or more.
