Mountain Worrts are big game, right? They're like the size of a truck. They don't assist, and are very common around Mos Eisley. They also move very slow, but their ranged attacks might mess up those who try to kite them over mountains.

guys i'm looking for something with great exp. the most i ever get is a little over 3k per kill. i'm looking for the best CH exp per kill. right now i was fighting seething bol crushers on dantooine. they are sweet alone cause i can flame them to death in like 3 shots and they give about 560 CH exp which is the most i've ever gotten outside of killing a dark force hunter. the problem is they are social. a pack of 6 rips right thru my GSP and my grand wrix too. i need something of this calibur but not social. any suggestions? low or no flame resists would make it easier.

****UPDATE****

Seems this thread is usless now.

I personally have not been in game yet but reports are that Tortors (at least) are now group arrgo and that PvE has gotten MUCH harder for a solo player.

Are the chicken littles right? Is solo PvE now solo PvNI (nearly impossible)?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

PvNI is not quite the right term yet. But its heading that way.

PvE is slowly being retooled to balance against CH's.

And if you prefer to play without a pet, well, you're pretty much in the wrong game.

Great idea for a thread and **edit** shame about those Torturs, which were my favourite for some time before the patch. Got incapped a lot finding that one out. Thank god the they didn't give them deathblow as well.

Can anyone tell me if there are any big game mobs out there that still fit the criteria? My interest in SWG has been waning a lot recently, and if I can't just log on for an hour and kill some worthwhile mobs without having to try to find a posse, I think I might be ditching my subs for one of the new MMORPGs coming out.

Ayep. My roommate...a CH with 4 Sludge Panthers...got certain body parts handed to her when she tried to kill a single Torton. What's more, for the rest of the night, other packs were agro'ing on her every time she got close, whether she was peaceful or not. It was bizarre...I don't know if the latter was intentional or a bug.

(Weird bugs like that do happen...shortly after the game went live, I was attacked and deathblowed by a pack of nunas, of all things, and I hadn't done anything to the pack. Nothing like that's ever happened to me again.)

BUMP - has anyone got any mobs to add for this? You could really have an impact on my ability to enjoy the game.

Ya Im upset about the tortors. What about bolle bols on Endor? Are they about the same as tortors? I need to find something that I can solo(petless) to get my combat xp for BH.

Now I have not been back to confirm this but I have heard that after this patch the mamiens do now pack attack.

And whoever said they were worthless for XP is correct, but as many have said the XP you get is pretty much relative.

The mamiens were good to kill when they gave off good wooley hide but that was 2 or 3 shifts ago (at least on bloodfin).

However the nests to spawn quite a few so if you look at the XP over time it might be worth it.

Youth's I can generally kill with a single shot (conceal shot usually).

The females I find harder to drop for some odd reason give less XP and harvests then the males.

Bah what I meant to say was the females are harder to drop then the males, yet give less XP and harvests.

It used to be only the Bantha Matriarchs would add if you attacked one of her herd. So post patch I popped a matriarch only to find all the bulls with her aggroed as well. So watch it when going up against Banthas.

It's a real shame that instead of making CHs scale down so they fit into the PvE world they made the PvE world scale up to accomodate CHs. A pet is getting to be standard equipment any more. The Imperial officer on the space station gives you a CDEF pistol when you take the tutorial. He ought to issue a rock beetle or cowardly gurreck now too.

Pez, two things:

1) You typed a big paragraph explaining how combat xp scales according to your weapon level...to a guy who devoted his whole post to saying that he got no xp from these creatures because he had a high weapon level.

2) Weapon xp cap per kill is 5k. Not a flat 5k, but it tends to gravitate randomly between 4900 and 5100, on the same creatures. It's like they add a random number so you don't think it's being capped.
