SFX, you mad you can't beat something? We don't really care that you are unlucky, TBH. Use the guide, and make waypoints to make it easier. A hard quest should = a good reward. Please stop whining because you can't do something the way you want to.
EDIT: The first poster wasn't rubbing it in your face, just trying to say that you are unlucky and/or looking in the wrong spots.

I did teh quest but it took days and days of camping. I have a Jedi so the ring is a nice thing to have and in the end Im glad I finished it.

Rawauh wrote:i also did it fairly quick. its supposed to be hard for a reason, becuase you get a really handy reward at the end. its all about knowing were to look, and not just randomly running around, make some sort of search grid and start riding the pattern, thats how i found them.
What is the reward for the quests?

Like everyone else has said above - If you follow the Guide (And take the time toread the messages attached to it ) Its really very easy....
The BH part is just a joke now. I spent something like 15-20 REALTIME hours searching the desert to find the guy and get that badge right after launch over a year ago. It took me 15 min to search all the possible WP's and do that part over again this week. The rest is just making search grids out of the reported WP"s and going over them on your vech till you find what your looking for...
GoodBuffs, 80% Armor will get you through the fights....

I did it in under three hours as well. I had the mark of altruism from just after launch. I was one of those who accidentally ran into that spawn 1500 meters north of Mos Eisley.
Anywho...the guides are a great help. The other thing is to pay attention to the Planet Chat tab. Some people will be nice enough to post on there when and where spawns are occurring. Just an additional thought.

I didn't find this quest to be too hard at all. Completed it the same day I mastered Ranger
Anyway, as a tip - the moisture farmer can be found as far away as bestine late in the day. He wanders A LOT. As for pirates, the pirates wander too, and can spawn anywhere along a line from the ranch house to wayfar. I found them outside Anchorhead on several occasions!

I have to say this ended up being one of my favorites simply because it took so much effort to do. The effort it took made it all themoresweet. I am very proud of the badges, the sculpture and the ring causeI freaking earned 'em

If you want to rub in my face that you got it and I did't, you could have at least done so privately.
I wasn't trying to "rub it in your face". Was simply stating that it CAN be done, and in a short amount of time at that. Go read some of the guides for waypoints and instructions if you are having problems.

I spent 3 days looking for the boar, and then got frustrated and gave up to do other things, I didn't come here to the forums and complain. No one said you HAVE to do it.
I'll be going back soon right after I master TKA and I'll try again using the guides found here in the forums, and I'll bet ya I won't be so frustrated. Might even have some fun while I'm at it.

WRT this, I think the issue I have with this quest is that it is more of a time sink than actual content. Why not have the quest mob static and put more effort into making the quest more detailed. To me, a more activly challanging quest would be more fun than setting waypoints and driving around them until you find the mob to give you the quest. If i wanted to play EQ, I'd still play EQ. Ok, thats my 2 cents. PLease feel free to flame away
