Welcome Welcome.

If the other servers were offline when you tried to create a character, it was most likely the daily downtime. The servers go down for 45 minutes to an hour every 24 hours. The only time you'll see longer downtimes is when theres a big patch every three or four weeks.

There are a ton of sites with info on just about every aspect of the game. It can actually get a little overwhelming somtimes. The forums are basically the best place to get the most updated info. If you jump on to any profession forum you can basically walk yourself through the entire proffesion up to master. It's pretty crazy.

Also if you wanted to try another server I'd reccomend doing it before you get to attached to your character. It happens pretty quick.

Here's a couple of sites you might want to check out:

www.towpc.com/swg - Ibok's guide. Lots of stuff on quests

www.swgCraft.com - All the info on crafting you could want.

www.SWGDecor.com - All the items in the game.

Have fun!!

One thing I found odd, it would only let me play on the Euro servers. It said the other ones were offline. Is that normal? I really would rather play on another server.

If you havent changed by now and you live in the USA, you might want to switch over to a US server because you may find it a bit more lonely to play the Euro servers because their prime time is offset from ours. On the other hand if you plan on playing around what is prime time in Europe, you might want to stay there. Lag canalso be a factor. You can make up to eight characters on eight different servers at the same time.

Thanks for those sites, I'll check them out in a bit. Yeah, I want to play on the US servers being that I live in the US. I know a lot of Euro players in Camelot that have trouble getting in on things because of the time difference, and I wish to avoid that predicament myself.

Anyway, apparently I was trying to create on those servers during daily downtime. I was able to come back and create a guy on a US server. I think I'm going to look up those sites and rethink how I did it.

Again, thanks to all for your help. I appreciate it greatly, hope to see you ingame.

I inherited an account with a Jedi. No, not an eBay purchase either. The owner is a friend who is leaving and gave me the account. Anyways, my question is this...

How should someone who is just starting as a Jedi proceed? He's got 4 or 5 novice boxes and that is all as far as Jedi goes. He also has most of Rifleman and Master TK. Suggestions on what to grind? He's CL80 now but there is no chance he'll survive in the wilds fighting things his own level with a saber. He is up for respec too, but I won't have time to do the level/respec/level/respec deal. Would it be worth it to drop the rifleman and some of the TK to bring the Class level down to a reasonable point? As a personal preference, I would like to grind alone and not in a pack.

Any thoughts?

First off. You can't grind alone. If you can it will be extremly slow.

Make sure you have all the novice boxes and focus on saber skills and healing first.

As far as outta jedi skills im not a master in those anymore but i say keep the TKM for the defence and the armor they gain. If you wanna be funny u can get some CM and a lil Rifle to burn BH's and make them die. They will send u a lot of hate tells crying about ur awsomeness in killing them with fire and rifle. They cry more then most jedi do after dieing in an unconventional way.

Good luck to you and your grind. Its a hard one. Hope ur up for it.
