How ever, the first time we did it, we pressed higher up the map and killed them all as soon as they spawned, and then fell back when the commander spawned. We lost a couple of people but It wasnt too difficult.
We also did it with a few people, all of our group died except 3 people, we just placed all miners near each other, and kept pulling groups in it, and we did AB's and DoT's on the droids. Worked awesome
(btw, our droids were often bugged: not moving to the mainbase 
)
