The only thing that makes me sad is that I have to drop one of my skills to get the 24 FS Boxes. Doing this just to get my second slot will destroy my main Char because as far as I understood I can't drop the FS boxes again and keep the second slot.
Before Pub 10 we were told that after Pub 10 we don't need to alter our main Char to get the second Slot and to become a Jedi with the second slot.
But anyway I guess I'll play on like I did since launch and don't care about a second slot or Jedi.

Regardless of the number of free branches received, you must still complete the final quest that makes you eligible to become a Padawan. When you become Padawan, you will be given your Jedi robe and your additional character slot will open up. This character can be used in any way you see fit, including developing him into another Jedi.
Yes as was said by TH you need to be Padawan for the 2nd slot.

Its obvious as to the reason that they did this, but it would be better for alot of us to get it without having to do all the jedi stuff first. I don't want a jedi character as I have stated before, but I do want that second slot. But I will do just that if that is what I have to do to get it, I feel like I am being strong -armed into it though =/

Once you have your 2nd slot open, you can drop all FS skills if wanted and still be able to keep you 2nd slot.

So you can still drop them after you are Padawan? Because TH wrote that you get your 2nd slot when you become Padawan.
Have you tested it on TC2 or is this in any way confirmed?

You can drop all of your FS skills after the 2nd slot has been opened. This has been confirmed. However, I can't remember if you have to complete the Padawan trials or not for the 2nd slot to open.

I haven't heard that one. I also just want a second character, but I don't want a jedi. I may make a lightsaber just to say I have one, but I have no interest in being a jedi.

Oh, and for those who argue that becoming a jedi is only for elite combat classes, I'd disagree, you should log onto test center (although now the village is on live) and check things out before making claims like that. Getting the themepark badges is not that difficult, especially if you hire someone (or bring a friend along) to help you.
Did you forget about the part where you have to grind millions and millions of XP?

Ok! how many skill points does it take then to get padwan status??? Surely not 250 as alakhazam says. This would absolutely ruin my main character!
Anyone know????
Thanks,
