When you say 2nd slot is that referring to obtaining another character on the same server (your origional character, and your FS Character?)

Sorry if that's a n00b question

From TH's post yesterday....

Regardless of the number of free branches received, you must still complete the final quest that makes you eligible to become a Padawan. When you become Padawan, you will be given your Jedi robe and your additional character slot will open up. This character can be used in any way you see fit, including developing him into another Jedi.

Then it truly is closed to any but the elite combat classes.

Not only that... but I have no interest in making my character (or an unlock if I ever got that) a jedi.

*shrug*

The more I hear about the changes, the more I know how much I am barred from most of the game because I choose not to be a power-gamer or l33t.

Thats annoying IMO. Now I have to drop skills and waste 4 months of playing time just to get my 2nd slot and start it all again!(I wanted 2nd slot jedi, not ruin my original cahracter!) What fun

Why dont they give the 2nd slot as a vet reward?

Why didnt they just give the 2nd slot Jedi as a vet reward!? could of saved alot of whine posts and dev time.

oh well...

first - you need to get the old man to visit, then kill the 2 sith, then read the datapad and go to the camp. Kill the sith you find there and loot datapad. Go to where it says. Then Jamilla vistis you and tells you to go see the elder in the village. Inthe village you get loads of quests to do, which open the FS skill trees. You trade Earth moving equipment size truckloads of exp into FS exp and then in about 6 months you become a Jedi Initiate - 2nd slot opens....

very summarised here.

Artisan - Architect - Musician - Marksman - Scout - Bounty Hunter - Pistoleer - Smuggler - Teras Kasi Master - Brawler - Swordsman - Rifleman

Why do crafters think they deserve to be a Jedi? Jedi are defenders of the Peace. That means having to fight. Jedi is a combat class. You wanna be a Jedi, you have to fight.

mostly because we pay the same amount of money you do to play the game. And Jedi are a combat class, crafting is not. Finding out you're force sensitive (as a crafter) should not bar you from developing that ability and becoming a Jedi -- and, in turn, changing over from a crafting class to a combat class (Jedi).

Yes, if you want to be a jedi, you should have to fight once you go down that road. However, you shouldn't have to fight in order to be given the opportunity to become a jedi.

Oh, and for those who argue that becoming a jedi is only for elite combat classes, I'd disagree, you should log onto test center (although now the village is on live) and check things out before making claims like that. Getting the themepark badges is not that difficult, especially if you hire someone (or bring a friend along) to help you.
