- Also consider the crafters like Architects who do have use for large amounts of statless resources for buildings and such... using as many "generic" resources as possible can help with crafting schematics as well as cleaning up piles of 10k or 20k resources (don't think on scales of 3 or 4 units)
...
Yes exactly.
This will work very well for architects so we can turn our scrap piles of material into useful stacks of the same type.
e.g. If I want to do a full run of structure modules I need 200k of ore and 50k of metal. It would be nice to take the 2k copper, 10k unknown non ferrous, 18k aluminum and 21k copper and turn it into a stack of 51k of generic non ferrous that I can use as a generic metal.Or withore I can take the 137k of carb. ore and the 80k of siliclastic ore and make a stack of 217k of generic low grade ore.

Congrats! I can't wait to get my hands on some of these. 90% of Tailor items don't use named resources!

this should be good especialy for training profs like bio engineer cause how much would one stack of about 80k meat cost? when you could go out harvest meat over a period of time put it all to gether as one resorce then even that 1 or 2 units that normaly sit in you inventory off each small stack are all bound to gether so you can have 1 stack instead of sevral cuting down on wast while training. this is also true when training other profs and making sub comp's that dont need experimentation. these recyclers will come in very handy congrats on geting one made. i just have to work on the animal resorce one i want lol.

oh finaly see some stats on the famed resycled resourses. I would of liked to see the stats a littel higher 300-500 range but hey what can i say. i wonder if all resycled resourses have all 200 stats or if they vary, i would of liked to see copper with higher conductivity.
Oh by the way 5* to you my friend.

Very cool! Congratulations! All I need is 4 spinner blades and a feed tube and I'll have Creature Recycler to play around with!

my big question for someone who has one...
is this device limited use? or once you have one are you good forever?

After finding a schematic for a smelting machine of a recently deceased Canyon Corsair, I took it back to my lab to examine it. After an hour studying it I finally felt confident enough that I knew what it would take to reverse engineer and makeone of these machines. Radialing it and selecting "Learn Schematic" I was astounded at how easy it had been. "Now lets see if I can make one" I had thought to myself.
Are you sure about this because I've just spent over 9 hours and 3 buffs on these guys and no schematic for this smelting machine. If it is that rare this thing should sell for millions. The schematics for the other recyclers drop at a quick pace, what's up with this one?

I had a guy who says he looted one just as I got there. I think the metal recycler is ultra-rare, at this point. I have killed hundreds of Corsair and have only pulled 2 small motors and 3 agitator motors.
Anyone got any solid leads on Blue Wire? They say Bynaries, but the ones at the bunker, at least, do not seem to drop blue wire. I figure I must be missing something.
Thanks,

I can verify this, I looted one tonight from a 14.3k Canyon Corsair mission started in a player town 1k north of Nyms.

I can confirm the blue wires off binaryes... have 2 now and looking for a 3rd... they sure don't drop like red wires off chunkers, but they drop.
What I can't confirm are the comments i've been seeing where someone has stated spinner blades are off binarye & aakuan... i haven't seen or heard of one confirmed drop from anythign yet.

Thanks,
Yes, it's rare. In fact 10 minutes after I posted the message above yours I looted the Metal Recycler, and it's not called a Smelting Machine as the originator of this thread posted.
