It's a proven fact that the mind recognizes color way, way... way faster than words.
"You have completely looted the corpse of all items."
When I see that in nice green, I smile.

I've never heard of this tip before. Any chance of more details on this and possibly this being next week's Tuesday's Tip?

I color my name, alt's name.
I'm gonna login later and add things that people usually say to me, such as "mohawk", "pinkalorian", "guy in mando", etc. cause I tend to miss conversations.

I colorize my name so I don't miss it during a lot of conversation.
I also colorize "at you" so that emotes and things like "Soandso waves at you" don't get missed in a busy cantina or party. The only conflict with this is the occasional false alarm from people saying in a conversation, "I see that you need some training" or the like.
I also colorize "tips you" so I don't miss any cash tips in the midst of all the "You perform a flourish" spam from playing some music.

I like running a macro to remind myself for foods or apply a buff.
Something like
/forceinfusion self;
/pause 47;
/macro FI
or
/need Brandy
/pause 720;
/macro brandy
I use the alarm to tell me when to check on the pizza.
with some things that works, with others, I like to have direct control so that I don't miss a round due to the macro...a split second can seperate the winner and the loser at times.
definatly great for pizzas.

Just curious on how many people use or know about this interface feature?
My best on is I have my name colorized to red so my name noticeably stands out in spatial and other places.
I do! I color the words Loot, Harvesting and XP.
You know, if they changed xp notification so that it's more visable, you wouldn't have to worry about making that a standout-ish color.
-especially in space (I never see xp notification is space any more).

I colorize all the numbers yellow. So when I am in battle, the damage done stands out. When tipped, the amount stands up. And in general it makes the important stuff more visible.

I've colourised the following (all sentences):
"You've gained Jedi experience."
"hits a"
"<my name> hits a"
So basically my combat log has a colour for other people hitting things, a colour for me hitting things, and another for when I received Jedi XP. Simple and effective

I colourize my characters names, last name, macro's involving alarms (The ones that says "Dueliststance is almost up!" is red, "Stopping shot is ready!" is yellow), loot messages ("You have completely looted..." and the space grouped and non-grouped variants are all purple), the message involved in bounty-hunter tracking and since it's early I've probably missed a few.
Lovely feature.

I use color for loot messages and key events. I would like to take a second tho and make a plug for an idea I'm sure has been suggested before. Sound files associated with text. I'd preferr it to be a player selected *.wav file so you could customize it a bit. Example: When the text is generated for an event you would NOT want to miss. You could attach a *.wav that would bark out "Attention!".
Anyway I use it as well.

I have colored by name. I have also remade the line "You already have a similar Force enhancement active" into a dark color, becouse one of my macros tries to rerun itself each 16 sec for security reasons.
