Thread: ---How to Run 2 SWG Accounts on 1 Computer---
you are using 2 totally seperate accounts, correct?
i think 1 gig of memory should be the minimum unless you turn EVERYTHING to very lowest quality, sound off, etc.
Yea two totally seperate accounts. But everything seems to load quick enough, except that I get the error saying that another application exists. I followed directions as above and Ive tried starting them at different times.
lol, $1 per day for 2-6 hours of entertainment is about the BEST deal in town (excluding game costs, of course) - struggling to find 50 cents a day to play?

You probably need Windows XP as well. Set up two different users for each SWG account.
Logon to first user, run Launcher, and login into SWG.
Alt-tab (or Windows keys) to bring you back to window. Select Switch User, and logon to your 2nd WinXP user account. Run Launcher, and login into SWG.
Couple of thought for people having probs with this..
1. File is being saved into the wrong folder.
2. File is really called user.cfg.txt - make sure that registered filetype extensions are switched on in the folder options, or you wont see the extension for a lot of files, and it will appear to be called user.cfg when in fact it has a .txt tagged on to the end that you can't see.
(gotta love windows - NOT)
Tried this and could not get it to work...
Suggestions on making it work proper?? ![]()
I had no luck with it either BUT..... There is another way with win XP and you can run 2 accounts wuth as little as 700mb ram.
With win XP you can set up multiple user accounts and switch between them.
Just run an instance of SWG in each of the user accounts. SWG must be in borderless windowed mode so you can switch the user accounts.

make sure it is not being saved as user.cfg.txt. I was having that problem. what i first had to do is save it as user.cfg(do save as and chose all apps) then WITHOUT closing the window paste in the info. then i was able to open 2 clients.
Bingo. This is the problem 90% of the time when someone says the user.cfg isn't working for them.
I can confirm that the method laid out by the original poster does work. I am running Windows XP Professional on a Pentium 4 2.6 GHz machine. I have a GeForce 4 TI 4200 128 MB card. And I currently only have one 512 MB stick of PC 2700 DDR RAM. I saved the file as user.cfg and put it in my StarWarsGalaxies folder. I can log my account and my friend's account on at the same time. Things do work slower than usual, but it is not terrible. I would suggest having I GB of RAM which I will have soon, I will try to give and update on my performance level when I get the new RAM.
