So at this point I'm afraid I can't help you much aside from try our home forums. However, if you are a long time resident of Bria, I'm sure you could imagine how three topics in their forum saying the exact same thing would go over there.

To make this post worth something: Ketzalis good, although I'm not sure he sells FP.

Correct me in I am wrong, but smugglers cant give you XP.

They can sell you FP that you can give to the Recruiter for XP, but that's it.

We sell Faction Points, not XP (experience). You then take these Faction Points to buy "things" from the recruiter such as an AT-ST, armor, etc. You could use these same faction points to buy experience (XP) using the "train" option from the recruiter, but that's a very expensive way to level...

Scrolling through, I keep seeing people talk about how Smuggler should be geared towards Neutral/Rebel players, because why be Imperial and smuggle? Some that say this seem sincere, some hit the point of being meanspirited. I'm here to defend us Imp Smugglers a bit.

The moment I heard about this game I wanted to play an Imperial Smuggler (and that was years ago!). It isn't crazy at all. Corruption exists in all offices and on all levels. An Imperial Smuggler is someone who is abusing the power of their position for their own gain. Just because I work for the Empire doesn't mean they're going to let me carry around mass amounts of illegal goods. It does mean I'll have an easier time of it than a Neutral, and a MUCH easier time than a Rebel. Who's to say that while on Tatooine for a mission I can't stop by Jabba's and get some spice from him to deliver on Naboo? That on my vacation I can't run guns, spice and whatnot all around the galaxy for a profit. Why would I do this?

Much more profit than the Imperial Navy offers.

An eaiser time smuggling ("No, lieutenant, I don't see any sliced weapons in my cargo hold, and if you're wise, you don't either.")

Most likely less punishment ("My client may have delivered thousands of tons of spice to Jabba on his free time, but he never let it interfere with his long loyal service in the Navy!")

I also may smuggle while in the Imperial Navy out of some slightly off-kilter idea of fun, seeking the next adrenaline rush.

The point of all this, let us Imperial Smugglers alone! We, too, are viable options for Role-Playing!

I see my self as a smuggler that deals with crime loards and cut throats in my business of arms and spice. I have a specialrank within the imperial army for my outstanding serivce to the empire in dealing harshly with rebels and terroists by any means possible. My speical rank enables me to avoid the notice of imperial intelligence as well as helping low ranking officers to gain privileges through my well placed conntections andbribes. I'm kinda of a mercenary that works only for the imperial army.

I am not (ever) trying to tell others how to play their game, but the thought of Imperial smugglers is just silly,an oxy moron. Who are you smuggling things from? Yourself? Dont take this as a flame ,but in a police state, the "law"shouldn'tneed to be a smuggler to "reroute" cargo and what not. In the game though it would be handy for slicing ,Faction Points and what not. But in the end it is your game and your $15, so if it feels good ,do it.

You have more Wheeler-Dealer types in the military, remember RADAR from MASH. He was always trying to get things that his unit needed. Supplies streched thin man mean that one unit has something another unit needs and no way to be able to get it there. Many goods were purchased off of the Black Market. Someone with crime connections and imperial standing therefore could acquire goods and credits from Imperial soliders.
