HOW TO HELP BRAWLERS:
1. Get them a good weapon! Good means a sword crafted by an Master Weaponsmith if possible, with either good damage or speed for its class. (Im not sure about this one, but I think the basic weapons can be crafted by normal artisans as well, so get a weapon crafted by a Master Artisan then)
2. Get them some armor which protects against kinetic dam - it will half the damage they take from the simpler MOBs.
3. Group with them and do some missions with them if you got the time and if they actually want
)
4. get them a crate of weapon upgrades (preferably speed or damage)
5. get their weapon sliced
6. tell them to watch out for 0 HP armor for sale at the bazaar
optional: also get them a good weapon they can use if they advance to the next level
HOW TO HELP ARTISANS:
1. tell them to read the artisan forum
2. tell them to autogrind survey (takes only one to two nights to master it) and show them how to make easy money by surveying a ressource at over 70% about 1km away from the mission terminal (or further, not closer though) and then choosing surveying missions for that specific ressource - fast money for newbies - and an artisan will need fast money early. Witha speeder one can make up to 3.6k in about 5 minutes after becoming a "Surveyor".
3. dont only show them the bazaar but also tell them what sells good and for what prices (often the prices are simply ridiculous, not just the ones of the newbies btw., so are the items sold), i.e. tell them that they wont be able to sell a BER 1 harvester for 6k (or at all) if they can craft it. I've seen people trying todo that.
4. tell them not to set up any harvesters with less than BER 3, no BER 4 (they can afford that with sampling missions)
5. tell them to grind MASTER artisan, only one skill branch wont bring them far as far as experimentation is concerned.
Thats all I can come up with cuz I'm pretty noob,

Actually one more very important thing:
* tell any kind of newbie to advertise whatever he can teach when he is in the city - when I was able to get my first master profession I had about 1000 ap xp without having to stand idle at the spaceport yelling and paying for teaching.

Excellent guide. I'll be sure to refer back to it when I become a vet.

I've been playing since launch, and I'll bet I've helped easily 50 noobs, in one way or another, be it clothes or some of my old armor, or just plain credits. I've givin well over a couple million away to noobs, but not to the ones who spam asking for it. Was just curious about what it takes to earn a CSR badge, do they even give those things away, in all my time playing I have never seen anyone with one. If they gave the badges out more I bet people would be more eager to help others, just an idea.

AGREE - Very wrong...
So people with out decent grammar and spelling do not deserve the HELP?
Sure you may have trouble understanding them now and then, but a GREAT VETSare not the one who give up at a sight of little trouble... If you give up because someone who is willingly to learn and a bit lack in English for you to understand 100%, then you are no different then a LOUSY NEWBIE that you refuse to help...
FYI, i met some people that English was not their native tongues but they were great new players.
This post SHOULDN'T be sticky at all....

What a breath of fresh air.
Thanks PROBLEMS for contributing something useful to the swg community. If more people were this helpful and friendly in these forums I wouldn't have to sift through nearly as much bull@#&! arguing and complaining. Kudos to this guy!
If I were a dev I'd unlock his FS toon just for this post. But that's me.

I have my own vision of Helping brawler.
1. Get him ubese armor,
2. Get him fast weapon.
3. Get him buffed
4. Teach to use food and spice
5. Teach to use specials when needed
6. Teach control the combat (heal himself, burst, etc)
7. Teach to choose proper mission
8. Explain why everything above is important.
9. Help him to level -make mission with him,
try to heal and intimidate target (if you can) only but help when needed to prevent him to die.
10. Try to make his leveling fun - talk to him not only sleep aside. Try to discuss what he wants to achieve and give some advice.

That is so FXXKING wrong...
Like saying, if you can't speak ENGLISH, DON'T FUXKING play....
Are you the only person on your server that speaks your native language? I don't recall him specifying English grammar and spelling. But if you are on a North American server instead of a European one, you need to understand and accept that you will need to be able to communicate with the people there if you expect any assistance.
I wouldn't go to a cinema in Paris and complain to the manager that I can't understand the movie.
