Thread: strange *new* combat bug

I experienced something they same.. But I agree with one above. Swapping targets, killing macros, clearing que and using /attack works for me.

What I do is deselect the target I have, tab over to the little piket guy who is running away, clear combat queue and run after him. That usually seems to work for me.

Yup this happened to me, was attacking a huurton stalker lair, and then for some reason my auto-attack wasn't working.


Specials cleared out of the combat que in about 1-5 secconds.


The only way I saw to get round it was to repeatedly hit specials, then I /bug reported it.

Ive had this happen too with adv. strafe, but only against rancor lairs. When it happens to me im strafing the lair and killing the rancors then all dmg just stops includeing on the lairbut it continues to tick strafes in the que, andI continue toget hit by them. Its not due to corpses either as ive had it do this beforeI even killed one of them.Its definately a fairly new bug in this circumstance. The only quick fix I have found is to clear the que,switch to a melee weapon, attack a rancor a few hits, switch back to rifle and then its ok. Simply targetting something else with the rifle and attacking worked for me for the older bug, (the one where you would stop damaging the lair but it would still hit the enemies)but this one is a new one and that trick hasnt worked for me yet. Hope it gets fixed soon as its really annoying especially with the weapon switch delay.

I wonder if this is an attempted fix for the LOS bug where somehow you agro things in other rooms using strafe. Ive seen this a few times also .

I'm very familiar with the area attack bug where you dont damage mobs that walk away, even if its just a couple steps, then just stand there in range.. quite annoying..


I haven't come across any of the other bugs mentioned in this thread yet though.. however I have come across an annoying bug where when you spam an attack on a lair (mokk/janta camps for me with my scythe using 2handhit3), and leave your toon alone to work through the combat queue spams, he will just peace for no reason and stand there with the lair unfinished..


it irks me when i have to get up to go to the bathroom or get a cup of coffee while i let my toon spam 2handhit3 to destroy the camp, only to come back to the desk and see him standing there.. even the peace icon doesn't show next to my name that indicates I've peaced the camp =/

I've sent in 2 bug reports for this before, when I was rifle it would do the same thing, Just try this at any time on a reptilian flyer lair, since they are pretty low skill


1. Stand about 50m from lair (be in 3rd person view)

2. Target lair

3. Spam Strafe2 non-stop (don't use any godly rifle of course)

4. Continue to spam, then at some random time, you will no longer be targeting the lair, or do damage, instead, if you view yourself in 3rd person view, your rifle is no longer targeting on the lair, instead, it shows that youare aiming at one of the fliers instead or tracking so to speak. And the only way you can continue to hit the lair is if you line yourself up with the animal between you and the lair. Completely breaking off attack, hiting peace, clear combat queue, and then do the /attack command on the lair will force your player to target back on the lair.


This was the wierdest thing I ever saw and it was the biggest pain, because I would clear lairs to make NS spawn, and usually what should be a 30 second ordeal turned into a 3-5 pain in the ass trying to target individual mobs, because by that time, they have healed the lair and now you have 20 animals attacking you.



I suggest everyone having the problem submit a bug report, just copy the text form the stops above and paste into your report. SOE won't do anything unless they have 1000 bug reports just about.

Ive had a Lair bug too...someone suggested that this had something to do with a corpse exploit...


This bug is different.


When it happens to me..Im not targeting the lair, but rather a group of MOBs


which btw..this bug continues

yes it sure does just had it happen to me too and I died due to it and another bug. See my post yet another new combat bug
