Thread: why are Corsecs suddenly aggroing me?

Like the other posters have said, it must have something to do with the space expansion and missions you are running there. I do not have JTL and have no problems at all with Corsec. They have never aggroed me and I'm in Coronet frequently.

That isn't it because I don't have JTL and they randomly attack me.

I'm Rebel Colonel + 49500 FP

Corsec + 4900 (killed 2 of them recently)

Nym +2800 or so (killed some recently)

And both Nym and Corsec are random attacking me since I installed JTL. It may be caused because in Space I've killied countless ships with Nym and Corsec tag. Anyway, they told Space/ground faction would behave in separate ways...

Can any redname help us here? We are not ranting or whining

I also am having this problem, now I have treid the neutral corv a few times and been into coronet and had no problems. Now I dont know if this is just a coincidence butI started getting attacked after I installed JTL

Now this I can agree with, I'm a Doctor with MAJOR negative thug standing and good corsec standing. I've been attacked for no reason what so ever whilst buffing people, the first time it hapened I was grouped and put it down to that but it has since happened when ungrouped and just standing around...

Maybe its a "Background" program in relation to this "No Crowding" rule they added recently?

What can be more crowded that Coronet on a busy time eh? Player standing doing very little (IE waiting in a buff line for example) anti crowding kicks in with the nearest NPC Mob...?

Hey... I could be onto something here

Maybe the Corsec are going insane with all the spamming. Would love to see a pile of dead AFK spammers outside the starport

Just a thought, but I thought it was to do with force sensativity.

Probably wrong, but they only started attacking me when I started the village. I have +5000 corsec faction, rebel covert at the time, I have only done rebel corvette missions.

This has got me confused, probably just a bug though...

There may some merit to this. Before I started the path to glowy, I was never attacked by CorSec. Once my glowy status started to change from no connection to the Force, I started to get attacked randomly. Then again, I may have been dropped on my head as a youngster and be totally off kilter.

Do you guys have high Rogue Corsec standing?

For a while my character had 700 corsec and 1100 Rogue Corsec faction, and every now and then I would be attacked by CorSec (despite being a CorSec pilot!)

I went to the Rogue Base and killed a few of them to get my Rogue Corsec faction down to 0 (which was an achievement, for a character with no combat skills except Novice Marksman, a Nym carbine, no buffs and no armour) and since then, they haven't attacked me. So maybe try that, if you are getting agroed.

This has been happening for at least since patch 10, maybe before. I have both an FS character and one that isn't and they both randomly get attacked, so it isn't an FS issue.

If you'll notice, many cities have aggro mobs that wander through the city and clean up the AFK'ers. Coronet is not one of those. Their aggro's hang out just outside the town and all around it, but not inside. Corsec is inside and I think SOE has enabled them to randomly enforce the AFK problem regardless of faction. The wierdest part is they may not even hit you to get aggro started. I've seen them do a special attack on one player, and hit them but it got about 10 of us into a fighting stance. Strange, it wasn't even an area attack but it got everyone aggro'd like it was.

Oh you could have a point there. I have 5000 Corsec faction (since this weekend) but I also have about 500 Rogue Corsec faction.

Thats still not it. I had a new character that got attacked. All his faction was zero except for meatlumps, which raised my corsec faction and lowered meatlump. Still got attacked randomly. The thing is, corsec does not care who they attack, and they may not attack everyone. Its random and not based on faction.
