Thread: How do PSG's work

PSGs are still a bit buggy. While the majority of their stats do not shift (and the cost of added vulnerabilities, i.e. kinetic), they still do go unseen by the combat mechanics if they are equipped all the time (unlike armor). To make the mechanics "see" them, simply unequipping and re-equipping works. However, if you are at less than 0 HAM because of encumbrance or wounds, you cannot equip a PSG (you must be at a minumum of 0).

The one circumstance where stats still shift on a PSG: Lightsaber resist. According to one of the Jedi Archive Friday Features leading to Publish 9 going live, all armor -except- PSGs is supposed to have a Lightsaber vulnerability. On Test prior to Pub 9 going Live, PSGs had Lightsaber resists. After Pub 9 went Live, TH posted that any Lightsaber resists on PSGs was a bug and unintentional (contra to the information in the Jedi Archive). When reminded of the information in the Jedi Archive, TH claimed he would look into it. Thus, when a PSG is newly crafted or newly taken from a crate, it shows Lightsaber resist. Some have tested and seen the resist working. Others have tested and seen the resist as false without any protection. BUT, to this date, if you have a PSG in your inventory and then log off, when you log on, there is a high probability the Lightsaber resist listing will no longer be there (it will show as a vulnerability). At that time, even if it gave Lightsaber protection prior to your logging off, it will not be Lightsaber resistant.

This is -still- the bane of AS and those who buy PSGs thinking they will offer Lightsaber resistance.

Will this ever get fixed?

(Will this thread be deleted because I mention the untouched bug?)
