Thread: Sleek's Super Did you know? Helpful Game Tips!
This is not a game tip, it's a forum tip.
Did you know?
You can create your own 'sticky' thread by selecting 'Float Thread' from the 'Thread Options' menu. Whenever you log in, the post will be at the top with the stickies.
This one would still be a helpful sticky, so newbies can find it, but in the meantime, this can keep it handy to those of us who've already discovered it.

2.) When using factories, do NOT use your Advanced Subcomponents. The Factory won't see the difference between the Advanced and Regular, so you're just wasting them. Use your Adv. for hand crafting.

Actually, they do recognize them... You simply need to make a schematic using your advanced subcomponents first. The factory will make exactly what the schemtic is, no matter what, as long as it has the same exact ingredients. So... if making a Health Woundpack B for example you would need to make schematics of all 3 advanced subcomponents and produce factory crates of them to usewhen creating aschematic of the Health Woundpack B. Then you need to place your advanced subcomponents from a crate into the factories ingredient hopper along with the high quality organic and inorganic.
I've made Health Woundpack B's that heal for 140 and have 26 charges with this method ![]()

the scout Huniting line adds more information to the examine window including resistances and weather the creature targeted is likely to kill you or not. Remember this is only if its likely to kill you if you just killed all its familly and its babies and are currently destroying its home the creature may just forget about this just this one time. Also the personabove me mentioned that the Tab key cycles targets but did you also know the( ` )key (the one above tab) brings up the menu. this is great with those one hit kills (Tab,`,1,Tab,`,1,ect...).
Having trouble with framerates in cities ? (low-end computer or not)
Go ahead and check few 'Set-Up Options' on the launchpad right after loggin in. (not 100 % sure on the exact wording of the options, @work right now)
- use lowlevel textures
- use low detail characters
- ingame graphic options to minium from the first two tabs (CTRL + O)
-(also check off the 3 flora settings in.. terrain or graphics tab.. i forget)
I use these when ever i know i'll be running deliveries in cities/ crafting. Sure, graphics may not be as fancy as normal but i prefer the better framerates ... and way, way less of those 1 frame / 5 sec pauses when entering populated or complex geometry areas. Oh and another plus, shuttle rides take 1/6 of the time it used to... those textures load real fast ![]()
When 'outdoors' restore options to more 'eye-pleasing level'.

You can use /r to reply to someone. You should it appeared on this thread earlier. But did you know, that if you start your reply with the word 'he' it will fail. It took me forever to track this down. I thought it was all sorts of other problems. But it was simply anything that starts....
/r he
fails to work. I can't remember if it also fails with /g or not. I know I've had random /g problems too.
Thirl
Before logging off, take two "destroy" missions close together. If a hunting group happens to come along, they destroy the nests and you get the money. They get XP and you get your, er... well-earned cash. Everybody wins.

Yes.
I just discovered this handy little thing today.
