i see...i thought you needed some program to do that. So I can just "Copy" and rename it to MP3, and "Copy" again to whatever music code I need?
Try playing it after renaming it first. It's been ages since I've done it. if that doesn't work, Google an MP3 converter

I think the the Cu has changed some things with the combat music. Mine works every now and again but not as consistently.

Sorry for the infesting of this post...but I renamed ALL the combat music as it said in the same folder as my startup music. My startup music works, my mortal kombat combat music does not. And I renamed all 12 _lp files! Maybe its the fact that my game is in a different drive other than C drive?

Hey, keep the questions coming until we get you all set
Anyway, I'm not sure what you mean by "renamed all 12_lp files" Yuo need to have at least 3 files for combat music the _vict etc ones described in the beginning.
Having it in a different drive should be no issues-mine is on my E-drive.
Also, I know some of the combat music was affected by the CU so that may be an issue we're having too.

well, keep them all the _a ones....as long as they are in the new "Music" folder that you created, it shoudl play sometimes at least.
I'm really thinking it relates more to the CU than anything you did wrong.
The person that started this thread, Tako, may have an idea if he/sheis still around.

So i dont have to name them like...say...mus_player_v_player_b_lp, mus_player_v_player_a_lp only bui instead name them _vict, _def, and _death?

You know what, you're right in the ways you originally did it. Ignore me lol. The reaon it must not be working is the CU and I just noticed something, since I'm a crafter, my experience with combat music, post CU has been very limited.
I don't think the combat music can be changed now, but I could be wrong. I don't quite understand how to extract and read the .tre files so if anyone knows the new combat music names, it would help a lot of us.
