We have made a bunch of jetpacks and Mando components, too. What's your point? Do you have an opinon? Or are you just trying to brag?

Lol, no, the point is that some places in this game should be hard, and I disagree with the original topic.

And nobody here is saying that it shouldn't be challenging.... but it is quite clear that components have higher drop rates in some servers... either that or some servers have a lot of DWB campers/farmers, LOL
I mean, based on over 100+ DWB runs on 2 live servers, it's quite obvious that most Mando components hardly ever drop during regular game play (as opposed to farming). And if you are having to farm, well I think that may qualify as an exploit - did you see Tiggs' latest post in the announcements section?

But, honey, I enjoy challenges, too, the bigger the better.... I just don't see high CL as a challenge, more like a nuisance at best. All you have to do is punch in your best specials, make sure you heal adequately... it is very mechanical, very button-mashing sort of thing. And challenges don't have to be so mechanical, IMHO. I *looooved* the Hero of Tatooine quests precisely because it was very challenging, and even with suggested waypoints you can still spend hours and days and maybe weeks looking for the right spawns... I finished Hero of Tatooine quest in about a week, and I loved the challenge.
Back to the DWB... you know what part is the most fun for me? The Water Pump Control Room, the next to last step in the Foreman's quest. Why? Because it doesn't depend on mindless button-mashing. It actually requires you to try to think, to try out different things... that is the kind of challenge that is most intellectually stimulating... when it comes to high CL mobs.... it's just mindless button-mashing for the most part.
(had to get ride of the rest of that quote, was getting too long, lol
I agree with you that things like the pump room and the Hero of Tat quests are the BEST, because of the challange presented. But dont you think that the CL of the MOBs you encounter augment that challange? The Pump room is awesome because it is timed and is a puzzle. But it would not nearly be as challanging and there would not be that sense of urgency if there werent SBDs in there pounding on the group as one person is frantically trying to stay out of aggro to solve the puzzle and everyone is trying to protect him. If it was just an empty room and a person had to play with the pump controls, or if it were just black sun there and no SBDs that sense of urgency would be gone. The Hero of Tat quest had both types of challanges. It had ones that required thought and intellect, and it ones that required brute strength. It took me MONTHs to finish because I couldnt find certain spawns. It was wonderful to solve the puzzles or to find my spawn. That search and the difficutly because of its rarity made it feel like a huge accomplishment and I reveled in the accomplishment. Now imaging if you had a puzzle game like the Intellect quest while you had a group of people trying to protect you from a high level force? Doesnt that sound more intense? If there was a 110+ level place in the game, Im sure that it would have quests like those that take place int he Bunker and Avatar that instill urgancy and thought. I think that CL modifies the difficulty of challanges such as times quests or puzzle solving. Also, if the CL is high enough, then it is not about "How do I kill them" but more about "How do I survive them". Can I get my group past them wihtout TPK rather than just slaughtering the MOBs and spamming specials. It might require roots, KDs, and paralysis to get past but that is strategy. I think there is a lot the DEVs can do with high CL creatures, just they have to think it through rather than just having a brute force battle, the need to make it an entertaining challange.

I agree with everything except the part about the CL level.... to me a high CL level means that you push a button/click a mouse more times, or faster, as the case may be. It is very mechanical, it doesn't seem to engage the mind any more than would being a factory worker a la "Modern Times". And it seems ridiculously that you have to shoot at stuff sometimes for 20-30 seconds or longer before it drops dead. Much of the fun of Star Wars for me has always been the average bad guys dropping like flies.... whether they were stormtroopers or battle droids. More special foes, well, then that's fun if they take longer to kill, or if there's a chance they will prevail over the good guys...
