Thread: Sleek's Super Did you know? Helpful Game Tips!
I realized this when using the bazzar that nothing is more that 3k and no weapon is better then the second to lowest i.e., dlt20 rifle is the highest you'll find on the Bazaar cuz anything higher costs more than the 3k limit.
Then the problem I have (and this is my question). How the heck do you find a Master Weaponsmith good enough to build the higher level weapons. I've tried the searches under CTRL-P but it only finds people that are near you and they are all Novice. I tried looking for vendors but all you get is the stupid junk dealers. I looked on the planetary map to find vendor shops but they don't showup their. It seems ridiculous that they limited the amount on the Bazaar to force you to use player vendors but then don't give you a good way to find them.
Perhaps I'm missing something.
Oh, also if you use the find command and want to find something specific like a combat guild (were you'll find the mission terminals frequently) the command is /find guild:combat.
Is there a way to search for individual terminals?

Did you know you can remap all of your hotbar keys?
Ctrl O for options, Controls (i think), Keymap, under the UI tab I believe. Scroll down and remap those hotkeys from F keys to the Number keys on the keyboard (not the numpad) then you can reach them easier!
Playing in a modified WASD key configuration this allows you to move and don almost everything without ever having to move your hand more than an inch.
Did you know you can scroll to the next bank of hotbar keys by using Ctrl F1, Ctrl F2 etc? Try it, you'll like it.

Did you know..
That each server has their own message board?? I'm sure you did, but someone asked how to find who was selling weapons better then on the bazaar. Well if it's any major crafter that wants to make themself known, one of the easiest placest to check would be your server boards. And if not on there, ask around, all the good artisans probably have their own vendors out of town to get around the 3k bazaar limit.
Did you know..
When you make a custom macro you can go into the keymap option window and assign it ANY keystroke, not just the F# hotkeys. Look under the custom commands in the keymap settings. if you are like me and make drastic changes to your keymap this will allow you to utilize your particular
settings.
Now my question to pose.. I know there is a /equip command but how does one go about using it and is it even for removing and putting on equipment. This would enable equipment changes to be done with a single keystroke macro.

Ok guys, Fantastic Thread.. I have read all ofthe postsso far and have not seen these so far.
Did you know? (Artisian)
I find that a lot of artisians are running around not knowing how to experiment. I know the manual is not very descriptive on this issue, and I didn't figure this out untill Engineering 3. To experiment or make a Manufacturing Schematic, I find it is best to use the actual crafting tool for what you are trying to craft(i.e. pistol -> use weapon, droid, and general item kit) and here comes the big shocker. Those big machines in the city that say public crafting station for whatever kind of item... You guessed it, that's what those **edit** things are for. Stand within the area, use your specific crafting kit (no interaction with the actual machine is necissary) and presto! A new screen comes up just after you successfully craft the item. Build Prototype, Build Schematic, And EXPERIMENT!!!! Trust me, if you are still running around with a beginning pistol or some other type of CDEF Piece then you need to try this. You can increase your damage, range, durability, and efficiency. Since I didn't figure this out till the end of Engineering 3 almost 4, Increasing the range and dmg of CDEF weapons by a amazing 33% each was actually quite easy, that and im a human (increased experimenting ability). You will see a dramatic increase in damage to your target as well as range. I have not messed with the efficiency, but I am assuming that it would probably increase your rate of fire or something like that... I have also not done this on armor or melee weapons, but I am sure the concept would remain the same. Of course this goes for any type of item you are trying to make. Though I really didn't see the benefit of experimenting on things like camps.
wow that was a long one.
Did you know? (Artisian)
Ok here is another that just might have slipped by you. As an artisian I am very broke 95% of the time. Between maitinance for extractors, buying hides, buying bones, posting on the bazaar to sell items, buying shuttle tickets to go get all the hide and bones I was buying for "Bargin Prices", as I am sure most of you artisians know, you don't have a lot of time to do boring delivery missions for chump change. As for destroy missions as an artisianthey should be renamed"get yourass handed to you" missions. Now over all for most beginning artisians (not sure about the advanced ones) bones and hides are like gold cause you can make armor with them and sell it for a pretty penny. Problem is where do you get the money for buying all the hides and bones you need, etc, etc, etc, it's a vicious cycle as you can see. Well never fear, I have your solution. Take your 100cr and go get scouting!!! You don't have to bring down dewbacks and banthas to get a decient amount of hides. Go right outside the city and kill all those minor creatures! With a harvesting skill of 2 I get at least 5 hides per creature. It takes a max of 2 hits to kill these things. Not only that, but in case you haven't noticed the spawn rate for these little creatures is much faster than any big animal you will come across. Not only that, but start attacking these things in front of storm troopers. Even though they kill it, you still can harvest it. So attack once, let the trooper take it while your getting another. By doing this I go 250 leathery hides in about 1 hour. Bones are even easier cause they are not a specific type usually (i.e. womp rats give leather hides and rill's give bristly (i think), but they both give the same type of bones). Now buying 250 hides on the bazaar is like 2500cr (plus possiblities of travel exp). Now for an hour of your time youcan get you these hides plus the exp (however small) will add up. You could also sell them to higher skilled artisians with money to burn if your that strapped for cash. But out of 250 hides, you can make probably5 - 10Bone Armor Boots (one of the first armor you can make) depending on failures etc. I sell these boots from 1000 to 2000cr each... plus you get crafting xp. So low balling it that's 5k instead of 2.5k plus all of the experience for probably the same amount of time you spend looking for that great deal and traveling to go get what you just bought. Sorry Scouts.
Geez, that one was even longer.
Oh well, hope this helps some peeps. Once again this is a great thread and all you higher lvl peeps don't be stingy with the tips and shortcuts!!!
That's all I can think of or have figured out at the moment.
Question though, does anyonelses mouse zoom not work?? I cannot go into First Person Mode...

Here's a good attack formation we use when hunting things:
Marksmen go prone or kneel just into range
Medics follow the brawlers to the front of the line
Brawlers start the attack and then the markman attack
Medics just run around healing the brawlers
With this you can take down a herd of dewbacka in a matter of minutes.
