Thread: Guide to Glowing v1.6 [copied from Test Center Forum]
If you don't have your faction themepark (reb or imp), jabba, nym, and the 2 warren badges, you probably won't have glowy.
If you haven't gone around and gotten the 3 jedi POIs (Dant Jedi Temple, Exar Kun temple, Ben's house) you probably won't have glowy.
If you haven't checked out some difficult POIs (sarlacc pit, krayt dragon skeleton, pool beneath fort tusken, krayt dragon graveyard, etc.) you probably won't have glowy.
If you haven't checked out some easy POIs (waterfall at theed, Lars Homestead, escape pod of the droids, etc. etc. etc.) you probably won't have glowy.
I went from no connection to the force to glowing in 2 days by doing themeparks and badge runs (the Tatooine area around Ben's house is great for getting badges). It is very easy, as long as you're just the least bit patient.
As far as difficulty, the most you'd need is a full suit of armor, and maybe some buffs. There are a lot of people doing these quests (themeparks that is) so places like the warren are cleaned out and all you have to do is run around and collect the little datadisks and such.
The old man took 2 days to show up for me, and I can tell you, it wasn't in the middle of the city. The friday feature that was just released said that he won't come if you're riding around on your speeder, fighting everything there is to fight, then hanging out in a city. When he showed up I was fishing on a river...can't get much more peaceful than that.
I know I've repeated what the guide has already said, but I thought I'd try to put it into words that some can understand a bit better.

Ben Kenobi's Old Home
Hidden Temple of Exar Kun
Ruined Jedi Temple
Jabba's Badge of Trust
Nym's Badge of Honor
Rebel Badge of Courage
The Warren Badges : Compassion and Imperial Hero
Skeleton of Famed Greater Krayt Dragon
Pit of the Mighty Sarlaac
Professions (Marksman, Scout, Medic)
I also have around 10 other exploration badges and the Trivial Librarian, whether or not they helped though is debatable.
Azmodon,
If you're still out there trying to get the Deeja Peak POI badge, ignore the waypoint that the POI creates for you. Instead, climb up the waterfall to where it pools before falling -- the trigger location is up there, not down by the bridge.

Now, here's a point I haven't seen anyone make. The requirement to get 5 dungeon/theme park badges is a real kick to the dangly bits for SWG players who enjoy the non-combat professions. (Note: It seems a bit rude toforce players tohave to spend skill points oncombat abilities to go glowyif combat-oriented types aren'tgoing to berequired tolearn somecrafting skills, but that's SWG for you.)
At any rate, like it or not, this ishow things are; no point in complaining about it.Anyone who wants to glow has to survive five dungeons/theme parks. Here's the tricky part: How are theneutral crafters supposed to do this?
Can neutral players complete either the Rebel or Imperial theme parks? I'll bet not, in which case neutral crafter types are seriouslycompromisedbecause that meansthey have to complete one Corvette mission in addtion to Nym's andJabba's theme parksand the 2 Warren dungeons... and the odds ofa non-combat type surviving a Corvette missionare lousy.
I've seen the "Well, just beg a group of real players to let them use you as cannon fodder," but even crafters have more pride than that. Besides, would you want to spend your Corvette time playing nursemaid to someone who contributes nothing to your group but whostill gets a badge just like yours for merelytagging along? I wouldn't, and I doubt many other people would, either.
So are there any more useful suggestions for how neutral crafters can pick up the five dungeon/theme park badges? Or are they all just hosed and to hell with them?
