1. There is no resource that is that rare
2. Even tho some items need resources where quality doesnt matter it doesnt mean that you should waste 2 better resources of the same type just to smelt them into a bigger stack.
3. most inorganic resources can be bought for 1-2 cpu and are of better quality which means you could use em for other items where quality matters.
4. most organic resources can be bought for 5-8 cpu and are of better quality which means you could use em for other items where quality matters.
also it lets you take your smaller stacks and make something bigger from it.
IE when i grinding shipwright i had 10k of this steel, 1k of that, 5k of the other one, etc etc.
i coulda saved a ton on buying steel had i been able to combine my stacks into one big stack i could use (some chassis needed like 60k steel from the same stack)

Dude, you are talking quality again. Quality doesn't matter for a lot of resources in many proffessions. E.g. if you make large factory runs that need lots of hide - furniture, paintings etc. So instead of making a couple factory runs because you have a couple stacks of different hide you combine them. Got it?
no i am not??
like i said ...these dont need good resources ..k ...but the resources you smelt are better than what you get after it for sure cos the stuff you get is the worst stuff ever and that means your wasting the resources by smelting them ,,,every resource that is worse than the stuff will never be harvested for obvious reason. ...

"every resource that is worse"
that right there is a statement regarding quality.
a Scout making crates of tents does not care one bit about the stacks of the hide, they're all gonna make the same quality tent.
However, if that scout has 1 stack of 1k hide and 1 stack of 500 hide he could make two fully seperate schematics, confuse them, lose them, not use them to their full capacity, etc.
OR with a recycler, he could make all his hide into generic "HIDE" that will always work in the same 1 schematic and hell never need to worry about the right type again.
Same if he has someone make a schem for something he cant make.
An example:
I was a smuggler. I had to have a weaponsmith and armorsmith make me WUK & AUK schematics so i could make them to slice.
I had to find large stacks of materials to make runs of these things.
I could care less the quality of these things as they dont take experimentation and it doesnt make a difference in slicing.
my life woulda been so easier had i been able to just smelt whatever resources i could find versus needing giant stakcs of the same thing

Your still not getting what im talking about.
When you have 2 stacks of hide one 500 units and one 1k instead of combinig it of say an average stat of 500 ..sell em ..and buy 3k of stuff that is of less quality b/c maybe you dont need the quality for an item but someone else sure does ..
selling em could give you enough money to buy new ones aaand to make a lil profit
plus ..it doesnt matter if you dont need the stats ..
thats like saying "..oh i dont need that 100$so ill just use that to wrap it around my bubblegum and throw it in the trash" instead of buying a pack of tissues for 20 cent and then using the rest for your pleasure...
making something worse out of somethingbetteris just stupid...

This didn't work.. i lost all my items.. waiting on for a ticket respnce now...

ive been able to craft them today using the following method:
combine as normal
when you get the error type
/nextCraftingStage;
/nextCraftingStage;
nothing will happen, but im not sure if it works without that step
then type
/createPrototype;
this will make all the ingredients disappear
/createPrototype
this will end the crafting session and put a timer on your crafting tool as its counting down.
out will pop you crafted item!
this has worked on:
agitator motor
tumble blender
chemical recycler
metal recycler
i cant promise this will work for anyone, but it did work for me several times as stated above.
I had a friend do all the crafting (since i had already redeemed my one time restore), i suggest others do it this way for the same reason
good luck! hopefully we can get our recyclers again!

Basically if the best stat on something is say only 800 there is absolutely no advantage to the resource over a 200 stat. No one in their right mind is going to try and craft something from it if they hope to get any money from it or have the finished product be decent at all. Hence when I go to use or sell resources with stats lower than this I will normally recycle them first to gain the advantages that having a common resource gives you.
I do however agree that their value is limited and somehow don't get why people are willing to pay me 5m for a recycler aside from the "collector" value. Anything over 1.5m seems to cause the ROI to not make any sense anymore.

Crafting
- Fixed a bug where a crafting tool can hang while loading schematic.
- Fixed recyclers, the tumble blender, and the agitator motor.
i hope that don't lost the schematics and items
i will test now ...........
